he was with KC for 4 yrs, wasn't a rookie UDFA to Saints first. That's how i interpret this thread.

Wasn’t he a 5th round pick or something by KC?

Ok, I'll play. Undrafted by the Saints? I would have to go with Drew Brees.

Lots of revisionist history in here regarding Sammy Knight.

You mean undrafted, started every game but 3 for the Saints, 3rd in interceptions, 1st in interceptions returned for touchdowns, 8th in tackles in Saints history, 2001 Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro, Saints Hall Of Fame Sammy Knight?

Wait... you mean Sam Mills actually played for the Saints? From all I ever hear about him these days he was a Panther from day one.

would Pierre Thomas be #2? Then Beerman?
Quite honestly, if we're allowing USFL refugees on the list, then I think you have to take Bobby Hebert #2 (if not at #1).

Dude was from a 1AA school and would never had gotten a sniff, and he went off on the USFL. He then came to the Saints and started leading them to the playoffs. We take tht shite for granted now, but remember, we NEVER went above .500 before that team.
