He's simply great. It's going to be a sad day when we have life without Brees cause we are getting spoiled by his superb play week in and week out. His bad days are generally our best days in saints history. A 3td 350 yd day for Drew is just becoming another day at the office throwing to the likes of the guys who are considered busts and practice squad caliber guys and fullbacks we spend the first half laughing at his name.

I think Drew can win a Super Bowl and he still won't get the national recognition he deserves. If he keeps this up... he'll have better numbers than half the HOF qb's.

If Drew can keep up his N.O. average in yards per season for an additional 6-7 years... he can break pass John Elway for 3rd all time in career passing yards. It'll be a tough feat but... if he stays healthy and plays for another 8 years... its highly likely he can do this.

Whats nice is having a coach who is putting his teams success clearly on his QBs shoulders...and that QB not being Aaron Brooks.

I hope he stays healthy and plays forever but when do you think we start considering drafting a top QB to begin learning under Brees, similar to Rodgers in GB. I can't imagine a better teacher than Brett Favre.... that being said, Brees can't be far behind.

Actually, the last person I would want teaching a young QB anything is Favre...not to mention he was a douche about the whole thing and explictly said he woulnt teach Rodgers anything.

AJF scares me about the sexual references to Brees.

I see where you are coming from with that. Regarding Favre - I guess I mean more of a role model as to how to approach the game and dedication. I think Drew would be a great "teacher" like I meant in the first post.

When did Brett say that? Really don't recall. Them seemed to get along well from what I could tell when still teammates.

Just axin' so don't be hatin'!

Drew Brees is only 29 years old, and the saints have more imediate concerns than finding the hier to Brees, unless a great quartback falls into our laps late in round 1, i don't think we need to do that yet.

He said something about him not being a mentor to rogers. Never said he wasn't going to teach.

how great, i mean HOW GREAT is it to have Drew as our QB. We can tune in on Sundays and know that we have a true leader that gives us game management, decision making, and the ability to win! I'll take his modest height and under the radar media attention anyday.

Fear not - whenever Drew retires, the journeyman on the left will undoubtedly be available to discuss a long-term or short-term contract with Mickey Loomis...
