It's almost worth it to shut him down and see him come back in 2016. This team is going nowhere. Sean Payton has no passion for coaching anymore. There are no receivers to throw to. And the abuse he's taking behind this offensive line could take two years off his career.

I respect your opinion since I know you deal with injuries on a daily basis.

No I'm sure it's accurate, you just don't see it very often due to the location of the RC and guys wearing shoulder pads. Usually you see the AC joint (collar bone/shoulder blade joint) from guys getting slammed/falling on it or other muscles of the arm and shoulder getting more contusions (bruising).

I don't think it's quitter mentality to give him rest and not try to rush him back and risk even greater injury on an already surgically-repaired shoulder, especially the way the season is going.

WHAT

THE

frick?

Are you posting from the short bus? He's getting played huge money, and gives the Saints, at the worst, a puncher's chance.

Do you really think this is the year?

Are you going to go balls out with this year's talent with an aging, injured QB to--best case scenario--go 9-7, compete for wild card, and get obliterated in Green Bay in January?

I mean, what if have to go through Arizona if we don't have go through Green Bay, and we were too scared to throw a vertical pass against them when Drew Brees WASN'T injured?

I'd assume the bruise would heal by January if your scenario played out

And despite the poor execution and missed redzone opportunities, we had the ball with a chance to win at the 2 minute mark. You're acting like we couldn't stay on the field with them

Also, if this team gets to 9-7 they'd be playing a lot better football than they are right meow

I'll wait to hear what James Andrews has to say about this bruise.

Take the halo off Brees. He doesn't have enough arm strength to play winning NFL ball. Dink and dunk is getting old. Let the man sit and take treatment for his injury. Don't rush him back and see him further damage his rotator cup and then be forced to retire.

This. If Dr. Andrews gives Drew a clean bill of health we're good to go.

Fine. I'm an idiot. DREW BREES IS LEADING THE SAINTS TO THE PROMISED LAND IN 2015! MAKE YOUR SUPER BOWL RESERVATIONS NOW!

Because if I'm the idiot, then the opposite MUST be true. Let's turn the end of Drew Brees' career the beginning of Mark Prior and Kerry Wood's career!

That is some idiotic logic

Beautiful sentence structure. I like how clear and easy to understand this was.

Have you watched Tom Brady play?

Oh, and:

Did he lose that deep ball in the last few weeks?

Not only that, he threw a laser 15-20 yards downfield in between defenders that hit Austin Johnson in the gut before he dropped it. Brees isn't the problem here offensively. Yesterday Strief got whooped badly for most of the game & Evans & Lelito continue to be inconsistent. If the offense could somehow run the ball effectively for long stretches, it would alleviate a lot of problems but barring a miracle, I just don't see that happening this year.

How the frick do we know he doesn't have the arm strength.

He threw a perfect bomb to cooks in the pre season.

We've seen one other deep pas and that was after being injured. It's unfair to say his strength is gone, actually it's fricking stupid considering we saw him chunk it 55 yards on the money to Cooks just over a month ago. He got popped and it effected his throwing. How is that not obvious?

I wasn't entirely serious, but in the past, they have put out news that a player had a minor injury and it turned out to keep them away longer than expected.

I'm just bummed about the current state of the team.

I hope Drew is fine. He is my favorite player and the starter on 2 of my fantasy teams.
