I'm not sure this fanbase deserves a savior like Leonard who will keep the Saints relevant when Drew retires.

LF will probably be a TOP 3 pick, if not the #1 pick. Saints will have to trade Brees this year to have a shot at LF next year. Without Brees Saints will finish low enough to have a chance to trade up in next years draft.

, AND he could take pressure off the aging Brees with a consistent run game.

Sure has been a boon to Les and Harris some would say.

Great. This is probably just the 1st of only about a 1000 more posts on this subject we will have to endure over the next year...

I imagine there will be several posts about Fournette to the saints, glad I could make history on TD and start it...

No, trust me, this is nowhere near the first LF7 thread on this board.

You're right, look what Adrian Peterson has done to Minnesota, they were average to below average without a proven QB, but people were interested because of how good he was, now they are pretty decent and made the playoffs last year as Bridgewater has grown some

Well I haven't noticed any Fournette threads, I'm just glad to read and discuss something other than Will Smith

Fournette grew up in a rough environment and seen the shitty side of the city. He also had all the exposure in Nola at St. Augs and now down the road in Baton Rouge. I'm sure he wants to continue his legacy in a new city. Like honey Badger, he knows how much of a shite show it would be making millions in Nola. Distant relatives would expect some sort of charity from him...he seems like a really good kid and would make him feel awkward.

I'm not opposed of the Saints trading back to a team like the Browns, Chargers or Texans for their next year first round pick along with other picks. Ideally work out a way to get a late first round pick this year as well.

For the type of offense we run I'd love Mccafery.

Fournette is a can't miss

This is where teams frick up. Believing any player is a "can't miss". I bet you thought Jamarcus Russell was a can't miss player also (no I am not comparing LF to Jamarcus Russell).
There is no such thing as a "can't miss" player. You simply do not know how any of them will tranistion into the NFL.
See Ricky Williams and more recently RGIII

So NO, you do not sacarfice a season or draft for 1 player. It almost never pans out

Give me Mcaffery in the 2nd round or some shite.

We aren't a power run team. Mcaffery could get 5 catches a game and around 10 carries. Also would be a punt returner.

We would have to be pretty bad to be in position to draft Fournette, so I hope we aren't that bad to where he is an option.

That said, you definitely draft him and do not look back. He's a special talent for sure.

Are you trying to be clever? Without LF7, LSU is a 7-6 trailer fire last year.
