Jarrett Lee, T-BOB Hebert and Derek Helton!!! are all more dominating than Tebow.

Tebow: overachiever, thinks he is Jesus, thinks he can save the world, wants all the attention....he is a good player not a great one

It has been done.

We officially have witnessed the most ignorant nonsense ever posted on the Saints board.

Get ready my fellow Saint's Board posters, because as the season progresses, more people will bring garbage to our normally tame board.

To say Tebow is not a great player shows your ignorance. Please go to the SEC rant with that and get off our board if you can't even bring 1 ounce of constructive knowledge.

BTW...how is Tebow an overachiever? Because he wins?

I would take Tim Tebow in a second to be my team's backup quarterback.

He's a leader, he's smart and he takes the game seriously. I'm sure Tebow could throw short enough passes to work into the Saints' system. Marc Brunell's arm is completely shot, and he's the Saints' #2.

Besides, don't the Saints suck in short yardage? It COULD give the Saints another option in the short yardage game, where Tebow thrives. How much action does a #2 QB get anyway? Might as well have one that brings intangibles to the team.

I honestly DO believe that Tebow has something to offer to the NFL. There have been less deserving players who found a place in the league.

Some of you just can't stop hating Tebow, but I have. I hated that guy as a freshman, but he's won me over because he plays with guts and takes pride and responsibility for the leadership of his team. I can't hate the guy any more. I wish there were more players like him out there.

Way to crawfish your way out of this one with sarcasm. Tebow will end his college career with a Heisman and 3 rings. Not dominating at all.

Lets see 3 more dominating college football players in the game than Tebow.

I'm sure that there are many players who would have dominated during their college careers if they had Florida talent around them... Could you imagine if Pat White played with even a portion of their starting line-up? Could you imagine the havoc Aaron Curry would've caused stunting with the Florida D?

Enough "what-ifs" for the moment... Time for some "I thinks"....

I think that McCoy will dominate in every way that is valuable to NFL scouts.

I think a healthy Selvie will dominate week-in, week-out in a less-than-SEC conference with less-than-SEC guys lined up next to him.

I think Tebow is one 3-games-out ankle injury from the 4th round of the NFL draft. Law of averages says he's overdue for an injury....

Hope this helps.

whether you like it not, Tebow will probably become the greatest college football player ever after this season.

now is that talent going to correlate to the NFL....probably not, but we'll have to wait and see.

False.
1. I dont like him as a player, but he is a good person and a great player, which i think is obvious.

2. Don't know what you mean by overachiever, the guy helps his team win

3.It's the media that thinks he is jesus... he has nothing to do with their love affair

and you know this isnt a homer statement... in fact, its an anti homer statement.

As for the question, he's a great college qb but i don't think he would work out too well in the pros. If there was no one better to take in a more immediate position need, i would take him. First i would look for a more pro style qb, though.

The skill set to be a good college QB isn't the same as being a good QB in the NFL. Tebow is a great great college QB, but his throwing accuracy is not good enough for the NFL. He'll be M. Vick without the speed and bad reputation.
Look at the guys who were great college QB's with accuracy problems, M. Vick, Jeff George, V. Young, T. Couch, A. Smith, J. Russell, Quincy Carter, etc.

Give me a Brees or Lefevor type of QB anyday.

if tebow replicates his stats from last year and his team wins either the SEC and/or BCS championship with him at qb this year, you can add his name to that list and feel good about it. let him add another heisman and he'll be knocking on the door for top 3 of all time. and i'm one of the biggest lsu fans out there...i hate UF. all that said, i don't want him running the saints offense.

You can't use that as a barometer on how he would do in the NFL...for example look at Danny Wuerffel, Ryan Leaf, Graeme Harrell, Matt Leinart, Jason White....all great passers at the college level but doodoo in the pros.

You have to measure the intangibles..heart, leadership, and desire to win...and Tebow has all of that

Had all the intangibles in the world (like Tebow), but was neither strong enough (unlike TT), nor accurate enough (like TT) for the NFL.

Ryan Leaf

Had the physical tools, just not the mental ones.

Graeme Harrell, Matt Leinart, Jason White

Products of being on really good teams in college. No one ever said Harrel or White were accruate passers. Leinart is just a tool.

I agree, but to be a quarterback in the NFL you need passing accuracy which you didn't list as a Tebow characteristic and it's something he doesn't have. He's a great college QB and one of the greatest college players ever. I just don't see his skill level at QB being good enough for the NFL.

I'll save Tebow draft status until January. I would like to see a developmental project for Payton though. Harrington would be a greater reclamation score than Kerry Collins but I question if it is possible. I would have loved a John Beck or Andrew Walter pickup.

Drew is only 30 so it is truly a develop and then get some value for scenario like Schaub or Cassel.
Not just stirring it but Perrilloux has raw skills. Juice Williams Illinois could be a Pat White-like wildcat specialist. Four to watch that might be worth a late round pick- Hiller West Mich, Hall BYU, Devlin Delw, and Robinson Okla St

Jeff George didn't have accuracy problems in the NFL.

No, idiots like you are what's sickening. I'm objective when it comes to Tebow, and he has the talent and the character that you look for. And I think that given the right system, he can do well in the NFL as a QB.

Not this again.

Good teams have good players. That's usually how it works.

Look at the QB's who are considered 'great' or have won Heisman trophies. They typically have other playmakers around them.
