Then they will tank in some unexplainable way to just miss the playoffs, it’s the ole Saints way.
Snatching the agony of defeat from the joy of victory, just barely missing the playoffs by one game year after year after year after year after year. It’s a tradition.
Unless they just quit, which is someways would be better.
Sorry for being bitter, I am lifelong Saints fan and have the physical and mental scars to prove it. I was so excited with our Super Bowl win as my father and grandfather who were also big Saints fans didn’t live to see it. Hell, Buddy D didn’t live to see it.
I hate being greedy but all I wanted was one more hayride before I die, to be able to take my son to a Super Bowl with the Saints in it and it was right there in front of us. I had the tickets, the hotel every thing, and then had to watch it taken from us by a corrupt league that is trying to make LA a football town. I am not over it and will never be. This is after screwing us on the bullshite bounty gate crap. I seriously want to kill that mfer Roger GoToHell with my own hand.
I am not angry over this shite show, we tried to squeeze all the juice out of the orange for one more glass, and since everyone else was rebuilding it was probably worth a shot. But it didn’t work.
But it’s time for a major resent. It didn’t work. Res Ipsa Loquitor

and we woulda won it all in 2011 also. we had the greatest show on turf. record breaking offense. we were UNDEFEATED at home that year. 9-0. i was at the lions playoff game.we finish off the 49ers and we kill the giants again at home en route to beating the pats in the SB.
but no we had 5 turnovers that day. and blew the lead twice in the last 4 minutes. that was the worst high and low rollercoaster ive ever expwerienced in sports in that time frame.

it is a corrupt money driven league. you cannot take this shite seriously anymore. treat it as background noise. or stop watching and giving a frick. i gave up tix and stopped going to games in 2017. watch casually if u are free like me today. i will never schedule my life around any sports again other than my childrens or my coaching duties.

Having come from the 70’s and 80’s As being a Saints fan this is a dysfunctional team.
I’ve seen atrocious teams. I’ve seen great teams. This organization currently is closer to the former than the latter.
To make matters worst the Saint are too loyal to their coaches and players. To a fault.
Other teams make decisive decisions in critical points in time. The saints no not. Ever. It gives the impression and maybe rightfully so that the team is ok with mediocrity and even losing than they are in controversy. Especially the kind of controversy that comes with admitting they made a poor choice in coaching and giving 150 million to a 5 million dollar player.
Period.

I don’t live in New Orleans but grew up along the Mississippi Gulf Coast and that’s big time Saints Country, much more so than North Louisiana. My grandfather was at first game in Tulane Stadium. Maybe it wrong for me to complain but I just think the fans deserve better. Some of you probably don’t remember but we didn’t win a playoff game until the 80s and I was there with my dad, and we damn near lost, but it was great. Before Jim Mora and CSP we were one of the worst franchises in the NFL, worse than the Lions and just a little better than the Bucs. We we like this from the 60s to the 80s. They changed the damn rule because the saints and bucs sucked so bad. It’s just sad

no no no. we made our first playoff game in 1987. we got our asses kicked by the vikings.
we did not win a playoff game until 2000 against the rams.
