Dome Parking Passes

How much trouble is it to get in and out of the dome parking lots? Was thinking about picking up a pass to go along with our company tickets.

Unless you’re leaving the game early or want to stay around a bit after, it’s a clusterfrick getting out after the game

Garage 5 is the only good garage and you can still get stuck if you don’t leave right at end of game.

If you have tickets in the plaza and can get out fast it’s good.

Much easier and cheaper to just park off poydras then walk a few minutes

IF you are willing to risk your car being broken into...then yes, parking off Poydras is a great 'option' ! From what I can surmise, the NOPD does not and never had a 'plan' to utilize extra patrols,bait cars or anything else to protect the thousands of vehicles parked near the dome on game days !

You can play the LSU way and leave at halftime or hang around for hour or so after the game. Otherwise, you will be sitting, sitting, sitting in your car waiting in line to exit. Can be painful if you have s few beers in your belly.

I have a pass for lot 2 across from the SKC. Traffic can be pretty bad after the game when it is crowded, but it is secure and better than having to walk for blocks. I am keeping mine.
