So it's Drew's fault we had 4 straight bad drafts, missed on high profile free agents, etc

If you really think it's Drew's salary that prevents us from winning, then how does every team with a franchise quarterback also manage to pay their quarterback as much or more than Drew.

Drew's salary holding us back is a myth

Absolutely feel sorry for him.
YES,he gets paid MARKET VALUE. We'd have to go pay someone else just as much to have an elite qb. But the fact that's he's one of the greats, had no real injury concerns, still can straight ball but has been given such shite defenses over the years...are y'all nuts?! Drew Brees, with a half decent defense, wins 1-2 more Super Bowls or at least gets to them. As fans, we get to watch one of the best and we should also be frickin pissed that our front office can't draft or put the pieces together through free agency YEAR AFTER YEAR.

I'm also more bummed as a fan bc deep down inside, you know we absolutely should be better.

I think some of you have missed the point and obviously have not read the article. This isn't about his personal life, which is awesome, but his life as a football player. Six of the eleven seasons Drew had been here the Saints have finished at 8-8 or worse, despite being a GREAT QB. IMO he is just a good as Brady but Brady has had the fortune of playing for the greatest coach ever for his career. So on a professional level we should feel at least a little bad for him.

Been feeling bad for him since 2012, but I'm sure his paycheck helps his pride.

Good article.
Another aspect of the CSP Saints that goes unnoticed is our pathetic rushing game.
Our highly ranked offenses is based on passing.

You still have to play defense and run the ball to win championships.
CSP sucks at both!

And yes, I know there are exceptions.
