I expect a QB who can actually make throws down the field and isn't 90% reliant on check-downs and screens.

You might get that going forward. First meaningful start in nearly 4 years, on the road, Hostile environment, in the rain, lots of check downs is kinda expected.
By the way, it won the game. Maybe that was the gameplan, because that was all we needed.
