I can't imagine they are too pleased about it with the investment they made in him.
All it takes is some random skier to run into him and wreck his knee.

I guess no more swimming either? All it takes is a slip and fall to bust his head open. Give him a break.

I have zero problem with this. Dude is experiencing new things and enjoying himself. He probably would end up being pretty good at snow boarding after a few trips given how damn athletic he is and his balance is insane.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Saints have signed reserve defensive end Noah Spence. Spence spent last season on injured reserve with a torn ACL.

NFLPA records show it’s a one-year deal worth $990,000.

Spence is the first free agent the Saints have signed this offseason.

No bowling clause has been added to protect him.

FFS let the man live. He's young, rich as frick, and given the athletic ability of a demi-god. He isn't getting busted with a 1/2 kilo of blow and an under-age hooker. He's got my blessing. Go on young man. frickin' try everything.

The Pats put something in Drew Bledsoe's contract way back in the day:

Meet Drew Bledsoe: Powder Skiing Extraordinaire

quote:

“But when I signed my next contract, it had this very strict language about how much I had to pay the Patriots back if I got hurt skiing – which were big numbers.”

On another note, I find Kamara's newly found snowboarding avocation very relatable. I too grew up in the South and got addicted to snowboarding and bought a house in the Intermountain Northwest.

There's a whole lot of the point being missed in the responses to this OP.

Kamara is a multimillion dollar investment of the Saints football team. Teams often put clauses and restrictions into contracts and on players that are designed to keep them from participating in activities that could risk injury thus negatively effecting the team. The "just let him live" mantra doesn't apply to NFL players.

With that said, this is not an activity that I think any team would deem dangerous. If he's out there running half pipes and shite then sure, get him back in NOLA. This simple snowboarding is a minimal risk activity.

There has to be a balance between limiting what players can do and them actually doing things.

The balance is in whatever the two parties agreed to when they signed the contract.

It really doesn’t matter whether you or anyone else finds this activity as excessively risky or not.

Contracts can't possibly contain every single activity known to man. There must be communication between the player and coach. The responsible player should check with his coach before participating in an activity.

No shite. I'm not judging his snowboarding. In fact I have no issue with it. My point is that this thread being full of responses saying players can go do whatever they want is foolish. These same posters would be bitching if Kamara suffered a season ending injury.

Let the man live. Did you just forget about this man's elite balance? Of course he'd be a baller snowboarder.
