There’s a strong enough locker room to keep him from being an a-hole too.

Yea but I think some of that stuff is overblown. Shockey was an arse hole but not a horrible person........like say Junior Gallette. Same for Dez, maybe a dick on the sidelines but I don’t think he’s out beating women and shite. We won with Shockey, I’m fine with Dez. I’ve actually been told Shockey wasn’t well liked from other players but they still got it done on the field.

You guys should go check out Nick Underhill's twitter. I think he's over getting asked about Dez.

Wasn’t Jeff Ireland the GM who asked if his mother was a whore? I guess Jeff and Dez have made up since then.

Yup. It was him.

And that is an angle I never even thought of. Wow.

found this digging through articles:
quote:

-- Ohio State cornerback Eli Apple, 2017

Apple told CSN Philly that he was asked by an Atlanta Falcons coach whether he liked men.

"The Falcons coach, one of the coaches, was like, 'So do you like men?' It was like the first thing he asked me. It was weird. I was just like, 'no.' He was like, 'if you're going to come to Atlanta, sometimes that's how it is around here, you're going to have to get used to it.' I guess he was joking, but they just ask most of these questions to see how you're going to react."

Falcons coach Dan Quinn released a statement saying he was "disappointed" that the question came up.

"I have reiterated this to the entire coaching staff and I want to apologize to Eli for this even coming up. This is not what the Atlanta Falcons are about and it is not how we are going to conduct ourselves."

pretty sure they are talking about the locker room culture and not the city.

Falcons come off extremely rapey.
