69I could be way off the mark and exaggerating here, but it’s not unimaginable that Jameis Winston and the team as a whole was going to improve as the season progressed. Certainly an 11-6 or 10-7 record would have been very attainable with a healthy Jameis. That being said, if Devin White had not horse collar tackled Jameis and tore his knee up, and we had not missed the playoffs this season, would Sean Payton still be stepping down to take time and decompress?

Lets face it, everything is drastically more complicated than it was two years ago...

Made to wear mask every minute in public or ridiculed for every little thing they do or say or dont do or say. I think most coaches in his position have asked themselves if its worth it to them anymore this past year.
