Pierre is superior in pass game and Deuce is the better pure runner.... However Deuce single handedly won a playoff game in 2006, Pierre doesn't have a game like that yet

Pierre was great in the 2009 playoffs.

and last playoff game vs DET. Had a TD running and catching

I'm not reading this whole thread. Duece was the better pure runner. PT is the better all around back.

Deuce in his prime, definitely. PT is a great player, but 1640 rushing (4.7ypa) + 520 receiving is insane. PT may actually be more talented, but Deuce before the injury had a fairly significant physical advantage.

lest we forget the nfc championship, where he had 2 tds and 140 yards. came out in overtime and returned a kickoff 40 yards, converted the biggest 4th and 1 in team history, and pretty much played his arse off.


I think PT is the better overall football player. Deuce had more opportunity and probably fit more into the mold of a franchise back because of his size and speed. PT is a much more skilled player though. amazing balance and vision, and much more powerful than most players his size.
