Isn't one of their starting cornerbacks questionable with a groin injury also? They're starting a 5th round rookie at nickel corner too.

If you think the Saints are "crippled" with their full OL, Etienne, healthy Olave, 3 TE's worth a shite, a healthy Chase Young, and a healthy defense besides one underwhelming and underproductive DT then go ahead.
Bresee was ranked the 88th/ 134th DT compared to 2 actual Top 10 NFL safteys and a 20th ranked starting C.
You can even make AK and Pacheco a wash.
Its not even close.

I mean, if your point is that Detroit is a more talented roster, then ok.
Losing a starting DT and a starting WR is significant. Detroit has significant losses too. It's a lot closer to a wash than it is a huge advantage for the Saints.

A dude who has never played and arguably the worst starter on our defense? Are we ignoring that we added Miller/ Broughton and Brown/ Lance/ Fant/ Delp?
Tyson didn't exist last year so if you exclude him then we added 4 WR/ TE, David Edwards, Etienne, and everyone else is healthy compared to last year. Broughton by himself can be as productive as Bresee which is a wash and then we added Miller.
We improved x2 in the offseason compared to what we lost to start the season.
Trying to compare losing Bresee to both Branch/ Joseph is wild. If you tried to trade Bresee and a 1st for Branch you'd probably get laughed at. And if you tried to trade Bresee and a 2nd for Joseph chances are they say no immediately.

You might be letting your homerism dictate your opinion.
Is it possible that the offense thrives even without Tyson? Sure. Is the loss of Tyson a big one on paper? It is. Sorry dude. I realize you don’t like negative reality.
Could the DTs we have get the job done? Of course. Did losing our starting DT…the only one who has shown decent ability to rush the passer and from the inside..hurt? It does.
I’m just not someone that has to pretend reality isn’t reality.
