Are you serious?? That was no where close and if you listen to the analysis he was nowhere close to the initial read. Several times wrs just run go routes to open up the inside routes especially on 3rd and 5. Why Carr is making the decision to go deep on a route where Olave is covered, isnt even close to the intial option, and then doesn’t even throw it close to him is minf boggling decision but lets blame Olave he didn’t pretend to catch a ball. Carr did the same shite with the Raiders last year. Its weird arse decisions like these.

It also comes down to anticipation and reading defenses, which Brees my have done better than anybody in the history of the NFL. Brees was most effective when he would take the snap, drop and throw with no hesitation. He could do this because he anticipated where the receiver SHOULD be in relation to the defense. Carr waits for the receiver to finish his route before throwing.

Carr was upset because that was supposed to be a clear out to open Taysom underneath at the line to gain. Olave gave up and didn't make the backer hesitate and/or didn't get himself open in a 1v1 matchup. But sure yall keep blaming Carr. ??

Lol now we’re reading minds on why Carr is upset?
Carr threw it to Olave knowing he didn’t beat his man and he wasn’t open. And that was a horrible pass to boot. But lets not blame Carr for throwing to a WR that wasn’t remotely open smh. At some point, when a wr doesn’t beat his man and isn’t open but qb throws it anyway we should maybe blame the qb. Again if Jameis did this, the board would throw a shitfit on him lol

There is so much contradictory and lack of knowledge of the game in this one post it’s outstanding.

Thank you for stating nothing and acting like its some sort of smart post. If you’re going to call me out- at least have the balls to point out where I’m wrong and not act like you played QB jn the NFL years so whatever you say is actually worth reading.

Here, argue with Deuce about it. I'm sure he would love own your dumb arse.
Deuce receipt 1
Deuce receipt 2
Deuce receipt 1
Deuce receipt 2

Wow thanks for your dumb arse post on reposting a retired rbs post about what he saw on the play and assuming what went on. While you’re at it can you get Willie Roafs take on this play as well? Im sure he would love your dumbass to post it on here as well.
Not saying Deuce is wrong here but even looking at his comments it seems like Carr gives up on the play and tosses it out of bounds. Is this what we expect if the initial read isn’t there by what some on this board have stated is a former MVP candidate qb? He just has to quit on the play- no other option?

I cant. Can you?? Thats why we’re on a fan blog posting site. If you dont like it, then dont read it and go watch ESPN. That comment was to another poster stating absolutely nothing but criticisizing my post but giving no reason for it. Its like I don’t the take, have no reason to argue it but I want to be a jackass. Which im sure you’ll respond to this in the same way.

I can't either. But you can't criticize someone for doing the exact thing you did to my post.
And I trust Deuce, who has been with this organization for 20+ years. He played in this offense. He is professional football player. Saints Hall of Fame. Do you need Drew to agree to his post to believe him?
To your other point, Carr was frustrated and threw it away to get Olaves attention. I agree that was wrong and he shouldnt have gave up. But also if no one is open, and that is pretty much the only 2 options he had on the play (dumb arse play to begin with since Taysom isnt exactly a route technician) then his best option was throw it away instead of forcing another pick.

Here you go!
You want Carr to throw the man open (open space of the field) before his break and before he gets open, but get upset when Carr throws it before the man is open. Contradictory!
You want Carr to throw before the player is open because you want it to be there at the top of the route once the man does finally get open with the ball arriving at the same time.
It really wasn’t. But we won’t really know to what extent. Olave quit on the route and It landed out of bounds. But not far out of bounds. It was thrown to be a back shoulder jump ball. That’s we call them 50/50 balls. Uncaught those balls are going to land out of bounds. Which brings me to my last point.
Back to this.
Olave quit on the route. When you have a WR 1-on-1 the QB is taught and knows attack that receiver. Go after it. Olave had a 1-on-1 situation and honestly should have had situational game awareness there. But the problem was Olave quitting. Cause he didn’t clear out the underneath route. So Carr couldn’t go there either.

Don’t bother with this dude. He’s melting about Carr just to melt.
Carr hasn’t been very good, but the offense and team have way bigger issues than that.
