Literally 1 vomit inducing play by PRob ruined a perfect half.

Damn strong showing regardless. Really good team win.

That’s what had made Allen resurge as a HC candidate. Second half adjustments and the D was lights out after half.

We need to keep this rolling.

Allen's strength is adjustments. He's below average when his adjustments don't work, but well above average when they are working. He needs to keep it up.

His key moment play calling still needs work.

Yeah, his blitz on 3rd & 1 on the Chargers final possession in regulation was beyond stupid.

I won't argue that. Good news is that he finally delivered after halftime, which is what makes or breaks him.

I think it might finally be clicking for him. If so...good times ahead.

Why can't he be more consistent when it comes to designing entire game plans though? Why are his original game plans so terrible?

He's usually pretty damn good all around by about week 6 or 7. As bad as the last 4 & a half games were...it's actually par for the course.

This is about the time when Allen starts to really produce. I can't figure out why he is like he is, but he's done this in 2017, 2018, & 2019. I'm going to assume he'll do it in 2020 as well.

Allen is very odd & unique. I wish I had a better answer to your question, but it's very puzzling to me as well.

I've been watching football for a long time now & honestly, I've never seen anything like this EVER.

Coincidentally, he, the entire defense and Lattimore all pick up their play around week 4. It may all just come together for them soon.

He’s a top 3 D Cordinator in the league, our roster is hammered shite for the most part on D.

D line started playing better overall.
If the d line does it’s job, the less time the dbs have to cover.

the DL & LBs were all over Herbert last night... it seemed like every time he dropped back to pass he was getting flushed out the pocket and/or hit

really need Jack Rabbit back and whatever help we can get at safety

seriously... why did we let Vonn Bell go to Cincy?

defense was really good all game, IMO. They busted two big plays on that first TD and the second was a stop overturned on a bad roughing call. Brees gave them the third.

Really great half, I agree. But........

That was more PJ Williams then PRob. They were in cover 2 and the safety has to stay on top of both receivers on his side. He has too.
The corner carries the receiver as far as the inside receiver. That seemed pretty evident from PRob's reaction. PJ Williams is not a safety. He has played little safety but he blew it on that play.

Underhill Tweet on the play

D was actually not bad in the first half. Roughing the punter and Drew’s pic led to easy TDs other than that they gave up 1 drive

Interesting

PRobs body language definitely looked like he was at fault though.

2nd - Williams, Jackrabbit

Others of note:
3rd- Williams, White Fury, Analzone, Davis, CGJ, Onyamama, Baun
Undrafted - Tuttle, Roach
