Absolutely 100% spot on!

And to all the posters saying not to gloat, screw that! We had to endure all the smack talk from the Falcon "fans" last year and going into this year. Now, comically, they are no where to be found.

The Falcons made a ton of gambles and got some great starters, but depth is what wins football games when the injury bug bites. I could see it in preseason when their backups would get blown out. Factor in no attention paid to their O line and a weak D line and you have the falcons.

So, the preseason does matter?

I agree, though. They forgot where you win games...in the trenches.

Dude your analysis is almost spot on. Props. I knew they wouldn't be as good as last year, but I would never have guessed them to be this bad as you did. I see u

I'd be more impressed if you told them to get their jars ready for the jets game before the season started.

Not from a standpoint on how your starting O or D will do in the regular season, but when the backups come in and you are constantly getting blown out after the starters are pulled, I'd be worried.

Used to happen to the Saints back in the day. Starters would come in, look good, then we'd lose like 28-7 or something

The one thing that preseason shows is the strength of your depth.

Depth is more important than ever because of the variety of sub packages teams play on defense.
