Good Lord he's huge........6'7" and 264 lbs. Do you think he make it past the first round?

If the Saints were looking at him as a tackle in the later rounds, great! Him as a first round TE, no way. He's entirely too big to be effective in the NFL.

Today's best TEs are great weapons in the passing game. They are more oversized WRs than undersized tackles. Every draft profile of Washington starts and ends with him being a terrific blocker. Great! Go play tackle today, or TE in 1985.

He could help out penning's growing pains in pass protection, and that pair would road grade on runs

So you honestly don't think he could be another Jimmy Graham? Or was Jimmy Graham good because of Brees?

Someone apparently didn't watch any Georgia games... Multiple times in the end zone, they threw it up and said "go get it", and he did

Did you? He only has 3 career TDs. My biggest issue with him is his lack of production. He has all the measurables.

I'm not using my first rounder on him with other needs.

He's essentially the same size as Jimmy graham

Graham: 6-6 1/4 260

Washington: 6-6 5/8 264

He shared a TE room with Brock Bowers and Arik Gilbert.

Give me Sam LaPorta in the 3rd instead. He will be the best TE in this draft.

I’d love to get him and Gibbs/Bijan with our first two picks

Not Gilbert, he was AWOL almost all of the time. He had 2 career receptions at GA.

I agree, but he was still a supreme talent that got playing time. There were 2, possibly 3 NFL players in that position room if Gilbert can get his head together.

ETA: Forgot to mention Oscar Delp got plenty of snaps from the group as well. UGA TE room was stacked.

Gilbert played like 30 snaps all season.

I'm not saying Gilbert is some all-world guy. The fact of the matter is that Washington shared snaps with several other players in the room, Gilbert included. Compounding that lack of production was that he had a single-digit target share and was targeted like 40 times all year. Lack of production from a college TE in a loaded room shouldn't draw anyone away because he wasn't used that way in college. Neither were George Kittle, Greg Olsen, Jimmy Graham, etc.

You take shots at the athleticism of the player and how it translates to the position and whether or not a playcaller can put them in position to make plays.

Love him. I’m standing on the table for him. I think he is going to be a great 2 way TE

Gronk says hello! Gronk was 6'6 265, so how is Washington too big?
