I know. I said that. That is why it's wrong. Demps could have literally gone anywhere. Belichick probably fed him a line of bullshite that he'd get a chance to play quickly with no veteran RBs, blah blah blah. And then they shut him down at the first sign of an injury.

Its a business, take feelings an fairness out

Using the franchise tag is way more "wrong" than putting a guy on IR, yet im sure you had no problem with the Saints giving it to Brees

And BB most likely told Demps that he would have a chance at being the return guy. Demps would be an idiot if he thought he could come in and play RB this season for the Patriots. He also still has a chance to come back and play this season

I know, we could've had Riley Cooper or Selvish Capers or Mickey Shuler. We really missed out. Hate to see that.

I was surprised about Higgins as well. And all the LBs being cut.

Hope a few guys such as Tanner, Broughton, LB Wilson, LB #46 Anderson, S Nelson , etc, make the practice squad.

Is Higgins still eligible for practice squad?

I'm ok with Toon getting IR'ed. He will get a redshirt year and we will be fine at WR this year without him.

I'm upset about Marquis Johnson though. I also think he had that 4th CB spot locked up. Any CBS out there? I saw Drayton Florence was cut. He would be an expensive 4thCB but would be an upgrade. Not my favorite choice though. Any other names?

Do yall see Cadet being active on game days with all other RBs healthy?

Here is the big question. Who gets cut when Humber and Willy Will get off suspension?

By your logic, we should cut Toon loose so he can latch on with a team because what we are doing "isn't fair." Right?

No. Because it's called INJURED reserve. If the Falcons stashed a CB or LB we could use today, people on here would throw a shitfit and demand an investigation.

People already think the Saints bend or break the rules. Let's do this and confirm their suspicions.

Let it go man. Almost every player in the NFL is playing with some type of injury. They may or may not be able to play through it, but if a team feels they won't be able to contribute, it's perfectly fine to place them on IR.

Glad to see you're finally on board.

Eric Olsen has looked really solid this preseason, just like De La Puente looked last preseason.

God forbid that Grubbs or Evans has to miss any time this year, but I truly don't think we would miss a beat if the coaches have to put Olsen in there. Much like Strief used to be, Olsen is a capable starter waiting in the wings.

It's easy to see a guy who always makes his blocks vs a guy like Tennant that is always allowing his man in on the tackle or allowing disruption. I truly dont know why Tennant lasted this long. He was a weak link last year, and just as bad this year. He had some fans that were rooting for him just because he was a draft pick, but despite the investment, I wanted him cut because Drew could have easily been hurt if his number would have called. Basically, I'd rather have an UDFA contributor like Pierre Thomas rather than keep an underachieving drafted Antonio Pittman. Either you can play or you can't, and Tennant was a Brees knee injury waiting to happen.

CNN polled most of the Milkey Way Galaxy and found 99.998% agreement with this statement.

M Johnson was the worst news out of all the cuts. Do we know if he can be pup?

Hall I think will be the one gone when Smith returns.

And it hurts his long term earning potential by shutting him down while he's young and still has his speed.

It's a cutthroat business. He chose this profession. In the NFL, the teams have the power.

A guy like Toon isn't hurt enough to go on IR. if he's not hurt and you can't use him, let him go somewhere where he won't become Adrian Arrington 2.0
Arrington said himself that he turned down roster spots with other teams to stay on the Saints practice squad.

Every team in the league does this, not just the Saints and New England. Its a common practice.
