Stubborn, never learns, makes some mistakes over and over again. Without Drew He would have never gotten anywhere. He vastly overestimates his own brilliance, and he is brilliant on offense but equally stupid on defense. He has one title just like Les but the only time he will ever see another super bowl is as a fan or analyst. Plus he has brought the wrath of the NFL upon us for his feud with pos Goodall.

He is our guy, always will be thankful for Super Bowl win, but we will not see another unless he looks in a mirror and fixes CSP

I was unaware Payton called the defensive plays today.

Sean is a great coach but his offensive play calling is becoming very predictable. Dude, if I know what you are going to do... I mean come on.

Imagine saying that after 465yds and 46pts against the best defense in the league

The most that defense had given up all year was 27pts lol

He put up over 40 points with his scheme.

That should be enough in the NFL..unless you have an incompetent set of linebackers and secondary

the 9ers literally ran all of paytons trick plays on him today and he didnt even realize it until late 4th quarter

they gimmicked him with his own plays all game long and around the 5 minute mark in 4th quarter you can see him looking at the play sheet and laughing as points out plays as he sees his own plays being run by the 9ers

This board is ate up at times. Dennis Allen deserves criticism today. You can disagree with some of Payton's situational decisions & a handful of play calls today but to say that the play calling is predictable & bland is beyond stupid. It's sad you had to even point this out.

I didn't know Payton ran & made the defensive calls as well.

His offense just hung 40+ on the best defense in the NFL without a viable second option on pass plays once the Niners knocked Cook out and with his only other offensive weapon checked out mentally. Shame on him for a couple of boneheaded calls continuing to try and run wide and leaving Murray on the bench, but if anything, he’s the opposite of Les.

There are a lot of stupid topics today, but this easily the stupidest. The only way these two coaches are alike is that they both made you mad. Use your brain, man.

Exactly. Tho they played well in the 2H for the most part. But people are blaming the offense for not being able to keep up(which they did) is silly.

I guess the offense should have scored 60 & Brees should have thrown 7 TD passes. Its hard to score 46 on any NFL defense much less 46 against the league's best defense.

This was probably Payton’s best offensive game plan of the season. The Les Miles comparison is idiotic beyond belief. Payton does deserve criticism for two things today, the absolutely absurd decision to go for 2 early in the 1st quarter and the fact he still employs Dennis Allen.
