I would be too shocked to even really have a negative reaction. There is no way that's happening. I would wager any amount of money on it.

I just mailed an anthrax package to him. I shipped priority mail (not paying the 2 day price) so he should be taken care of by Wednesday, Thursday at the latest.

I'd do it for one reason. If he falls to #27, that means a few of the four teams needing a QB decided to roll the dice and catch a QB in the 2nd round. You pick him at #27 and trade him for the 2nd this year and 1st next.
Works the same as trading down...except you make the pick (odds are good a "trade back in" deal would be done before the teams takes that gamble).

0 percent chancehis happens......ZERO!!!! Manziel is not a Payton guy and this team is built for a Pocket Passer for now and post Brees. When Brees and Payton retire...you can bet the future coach and QB will already be in house being mentored and the QB will be nothing like Manziel...I reallly reaaaallly want Aaron Murray...I know some people hate him but I like his arm and accuracy plus he's a winner.

You really think Payton retires when Brees does? He's fairly young, in really good shape now and seems to be getting younger in other aspects of life as well. I really really see him coaching another 15 years.

I think when Brees leaves Payton is gone...He is not one of those coaches to take 2-3 years to develop another QB unless he's an Andrew Luck or something or they draft someone earlier who steps in and is somewhere in the Aaron Rodgers type career.
