Michael Thomas is first-team All-Pro.

Drew Brees, Terron Armstead, Ryan Ramczyk and Cam Jordan made the second team.

I'm guessing Mahomes was First Team, which could be an indication of MVP results.

45 of 50 voters on the Associated Press panel picked Patrick Mahomes over Drew Brees for first-team all-pro QB -- a strong sign the MVP vote was a landslide, too.

Do they typically name only one QB? Seems like Brees had an All-Pro season but if they only pick one QB, I agree Mahomes had the better season.

Evidently he's only had one All-Pro season, that's surprising. Anyway, congrats to MT.

Looks like the AP have shown their hand towards the MVP vote. I'm cool with it. Now they can repeat 2009 and beat the Regular Season MVP in the Super Bowl while show everyone who was the real MVP.

What pisses me off was that in 2009 brees had clearly earned it but they gave it to Manning anyway (which was Manning's 3rd MVP) If Mahomes is really that good he will have more chances to win it. Brees is almost done. I hope we win the Superbowl this year and he comes back next year and finally gets his MVP trophy.

Mahomes has had an insane year. I know it sucks that the MVP will evade Drew again, but you can't pretend Mahomes didn't earn it.

I doubt the Chiefs make it to the SB with that defense. They (and Reid to an extent) do have a history of chocking in the playoffs after all.

Mahomes will be one and done in the playoffs and they will be awarding him the MVP the night before the Superbowl. Embarrassing.

Next year when all the teams have tape on him he will fade into the background like all the other flash in the pan QBs before him.

He had an insane year because their offense is a pass first offense. He has running backs but he throws to them. First and goal on the 3? Pass on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down.

So the Saints offense for a majority of Drew's time here.

5,097 yards passing
50 TD's

Everyone would be screaming bloody murder if Brees didn't win it with stats like that.

Take off the homer glasses. Playoff time.

Didn't Brees lose it with 46TD and 5476 yards? Yea he lost it to a guy with a higher passer rating, like Bree's has this year.

I think the inconsistency with the criteria is what pissed me off about the MVP.

And we lost our shite that year.

Statistically that year, the only thing Drew dominated in stats wise was yards (5,476 to 4,643). Rodgers had 1 less TD, 8 fewer interceptions, and his rating was considerably higher (122.5 to 110.6).

This year, Mahomes in yards (5,097 to 3,992), TD's (50 to 32). Brees has 7 fewer interceptions but has a small lead in rating (115.7 to 113.8).

You definitely could have made a case for Drew in '11, by far his best year and I truly feel he was robbed, but TD's and yards are a glaring difference and it's simply an easy choice.
