Did the past 10 days tension and drama force some uncomfortable conversations which led to a little more cohesive offense today? It wasn’t perfect but much better than the last several weeks.

Dunno.

Whats wild is that we win and the bitches on here have nothing to say.

We lose and theyre writing novels playing armchair GM.

This board has a negativity bias. It’s deeply entrenched in the DNA of us poor Saints fans.
I agree. Let’s give credit where it’s due.
Carr played his arse off today.
Great leadership.
Optimistic and on to the next.

We’re a shoulder inj away from being 5-3 and Carr has had about 4 dropped td’s this year.

The luck has to swing our way after all that.

As our coaching staff has apparently been reading Saints Talk with starting of Peat at left tackle (I know he gets a lot of hell on Saints Talk and was never called for to play LT as he often seems to made of glass with his injuries, but when we don't talk about him, he's doing something right) at left tackle, the use of motions of our receivers, and using of Taysom in the red zone, let's hope they read this and address our penalties. We're actually ranked tied for second most penalties, one penalty away from 1st place held by the Bills and 49ers.

Another thing I appreciated was Taysom passing to show it's not always going to be a run and to make defenses think and keep them off balance.

Let's hope Carmichael also adds some passes over the middle and incorporates some new plays we're yet to see such as a Jimmy Graham mismatch in the red zone.

Penalty Rank

DA has a winning season. We will have a season like this for next 3 seasons.

Yes and no.

This team will be an up and down team all year, likely all of Carrs time in New Orleans.

Enjoy the win, but don't get suckered into thinking that they have somehow turned a corner. They'll continue to drop winnable games and frustrate everyone.

My honest opinion based on nothing but what I am seeing is that they switched play callers but didn't announce it to save face for Pete.

You can't go from how disjointed and broken the play calling has been for 2 seasons to the cohesive and timely playcalling of the last 2 weeks without changing the play caller. Pete didn't just figure it out over the last 10 days, they had to have made a change.

The twist: The new offensive play caller is Dennis Allen.
