I am not a Chase Young hater... he fills a need on this team. But, when you watch him on every play, it seems that he and Cam Jordan are just sack hunters. If there is no chance for a sack, Chase does not seem to put in the effort or show any gap discipline.

This mistake is always funny. It’s even funnier when you use that term to own yourself.

I’m the lead Chase Young “hater” on this board. Not apologizing for anything. My criticisms still stand. He’s injury prone, doesn’t set the edge or play the run well and he has one pass rush move, the bull rush. He consistently overruns the play and rarely makes a sack unless someone else flushes the QB from the pocket.

He made an amazing play with the strip sack today! Incredible. I will fully admit that. But see my criticism above. He made the play because Granderson pushed the QB out of the pocket.

I’ll also admit that Young has had a few great plays the last few weeks.

I think my issue is he isn’t as good as the board makes him out to be. He doesn’t provide consistent pressure and more often than not the opposing QB has all day to throw the QB. I think we also have to look at the competition we’ve played the last few weeks. We’ve played really bad teams the last month.

I still think he’s a middle of the pack performer as an edge rusher. That’s what my issue is. We need a legit pass rusher. I know they are hard to find. But Young isn’t that guy who will make plays on his own. We need that guy.

I’m coping just fine. My team is on a 4 game win streak, our QB looks promising, the team is playing hard and we team seems to be headed in the right direction. Thank you for your concern.

Good against the pass. Now go watch him play the run and pretty much avoid making a tackle. He got there a lot in this game but doesn't seem to want to tackle a running back.

It’s infuriating watching immobile QBs like Stafford and Cousins this year sit back in the pocket and pick us apart while our QB gets a face full of DT within moments.

Currently on pace for ~13+ sacks for a full season which would put him around the edge of top 5, right behind Hutchinson…not bad for a guy coming off a potentially career ending injury

Im not apologizing. Until he finishes strong this season.
Im not changing my view point.

He owes the FO this for the egg he laid last season.
