Granderson is better than average/bordering on really good. He’s not a consistent pass rusher which we need. He does set the edge and play the run. More than I can say for Young.

And a much better cap hit at $11.7M this year. Granderson should hold out given the recklessness of Loomis with Young’s contract.

Not really an apples-to-apples comparison with the way NFL contracts work. Granderson signed his deal/extension 2 years ago. Young just signed his new contract and part of the singing had to do with avoiding a $9M dead cap hit for 2025 because of more Mickey shenanigans.

Ironically, they have the same exact cap hit for 2025. It gets messy after, I just found that funny.

They both are expected to become FAs in 2028 (Young will be 29, Granderson 32).
2026 cap hit: $20.5M-CY; $18M-CG
2027 cap hit: $23.7M-CY; $18M-CG
2028 dead: $9.1M-CY; $4.4M-CG

Was looking at the details on OTC and they show Chase has roster bonuses of $100M in 2029, 2030 & 2031. Did Mickey slip some dumb language in there for shits & giggles, or is there a type along the way. Further proof that you can't rely on these sites for 100% accuracy

Nah it's legit. This is protection for Young in case he blows up big, we basically are forced to cut him loose before he hits 30 so he can get a big contract elsewhere (or cut and re-sign here), so we can't do an extension like we just did with him again.

So we’re paying him one of the worst contracts right now, but in case he outperforms and is truly deserving of a long term contract Mickey puts a poison pill in the deal so some other team will benefit? Lawd have mercy!

After screwing up TRex it’s obvious Mickey has no clue how to manage edge rusher portion of the roster.

Loomis wouldn't have decided to put it in there. This is something Chase's agent would have pushed for as a condition of re-signing this time.

And in no way would it benefit another team. It just doesn't benefit us either.

Just another reminder of what Loomis shouldn’t be doing in a rebuild. Considering most of these contracts are for QBs, it makes the Young signing all the more ridiculous.
Bleacher report opinion article is your source?

His contract is barely top 20 in the NFL in edge rushers and not even half of what the top edge rushers get per year. Let's see how it plays out before whining.

Yeah lol Kellen has proven time and time again he a great HC in the nfl. Dude a guru ! He was running Mike McCarthy offense in Dallas then came to run nick sirianni offense! Let’s see what he does with his own shite . But his daddy NUSS is still following him around making sure he does everything right .
