Being that he's been with Drew and CSP for a while, and considering the complexity of our offense, I'd like for him to stick around.

Exactly, at least if we have Daniel and The unthinkable happens, we have a chance at being respectacle , if we bring in a new QB, we would implode. Veteran back up is totally a value with the way this team is now. Besides, its not like he's looking for a huge contract or there's a huge market for him. He knows, as well as the Saints, his best chance to stay in the league this season is with the saints. When we have a little more room, a better defense, and a little more cap space, say 2-3 years then it'll be time to start looking for the heir, until then a serviceable QB "just in case" is exactly what we need.

I don't care if Daniels stays or goes. He's a backup that has proved nothing in this league. For all we know he could be a complete tool. As long as we have someone there that Paeyton deems worthy to be the backup, then that's all that matters.

In separate news, is there anyway we get rid of P-Air Tomass or Marc Engrum instead of Ivery?

rotoworld-

Free agent JaMarcus Russell will hold a "pro day" on or around April 10.
Russell has been training at TEST Football Academy in San Diego with Jeff Garcia in hopes of making a comeback. He recently weighed under 300 pounds -- an accomplishment for Russell -- but still has "hills to climb."

guess the nose tackle idea is out the window

Oh I get it. We're spelling a bunch of names wrong as a joke.

He most likely has the urge to be a starter somewhere, however if the Saints come to him with a 3 year 3.2 mil contract I dont see him turning that down.

You know, it wouldn't surprise me if this isn't even the case.
