Payton discussed it in his press conference after OTAs, said it was no big deal. But I guess he always says that.

Charles Brown has been injured ever since he joined the Saints. When we try to start this guy he'll only play 8 games max

I honestly wouldn't be surprised, and would actually rather if Armstead gets some serious PT this year. He's obviously the future at the position. Depending on Brown and Smiths health, is let them probably start the season off, but if they start underperforming or get injured, put him in and let him learn as he goes.

He said the same about Vilma and Hawthorne so I'm getting worried.
On a serious note this is part of the reason I don't want Brown starting. The other is he gets overpowered far too easily and seems to have poor footwork/technique.
I honestly think if Armstead isn't ready Smith will start.
