The banter between him & Mayfield (who can hold his own amongst shite talkers) was pretty funny. CGJ comes out and basically says the WR core would be great if they had a good QB, then credits a WR who missed the entire year. Baker calls him on it, and says he hadn't watched film. Then CGJ happens to find himself in the right place at the right time

Agreed. I love the attitude ON the field, but OFF the field you need to show some grace and class. He takes things too far in this modern cultcha of trolling everyone

Every team has a list of players that were not good fits because of personality crap.
CGJ is on that list for the Saints and rightfully so. He's not a guy you build a foundation on.

Isn't this part yet to be determined.
Baker is a FA and if resigned by TB that number could get a lot closer. If not resigned, then you're looking at a $4M 2024 cap hit (deferred bonus & 2023 earned bonuses estimates) and needing a QB.
Depending on what Baker signs for, that number could be a lot closer and/or Baker could earn more per year. Obviously, TB is in a much better cap spot to make those decisions, just pointing out that the value between these 2 really is TBD.

Undisputed facts here. Before this year, it appeared Baker was very unliked in his locker room in Cleveland; but it's amazing what maturity and winning can fix.
