they Saints released him and made him a free agent then the Saints eat all that money and get absolutely nothing. At least by keeping him, like him or not he is the best QB on the roster.
What do you think our ceiling is?

Williams ran a slow 40? They said they clocked him at 4.74 unofficial at 265 pounds.
4.7/4.8 is slow.

tj watt ran a 4.7
Jj watt’s vertical and the rest of his explosion numbers were amazing.
Naw bud. Williams isnt Watt.

Trying to make it a 4.8 doesn’t make you sound more intelligent. Watt had a 37” vert which is good but not some insane number lol. Williams has been a dog his entire career. Has massive upside, to say he isn’t top 10 worth is just asinine. All while talking about how tet and milroe. Lol. Honestly, Walker is who i want. That kid is a freak and can play many positions and primarily edge. I’m taking him 100 times out of 100 over Jeanty or tet.

Can you link Shadeurs numbers from the combine?

He didnt throw at the combine or run etc. His speed is decent tho, he has hit a max speed over 20 mph in a game on a run against usc.
By comparison Dart hit 19.5 or so on a run also. Both guys are orobably in the 4.6 range.
Shedeur’s pro day is coming up. Interested to see if the scouts think he has the zip needed, thsts been a huge knock on his arm. Sanders is def going to try to prove he has the arm strength that the nfl wants to see.
Dart/milroe threw at the combine and looked pretty good. Dart looked polished with arm strength, and Milroe threw some lasers.

Naw. He was timed somewhere between 4.7/4.8 by multiple pro day scouts. They bring their own watches etc, dont you know how pro days work?

Just stop. Thats elite.
Plus I said explosion numbers. Jj watt ran a 6.88 three cone which is elite for a cornerback. Thats like the 99th percentile in quickness.
And you ssaid TJ Watt I see? I misread JJ.
I dont think Williams and TJ watt are similar, williams is almost 270 at this point.
To compare tj watt had a 6.79 three cone which is absolutely insane.

lol well reading can be difficult. Watt ran a very similar time at about 15 lbs less than Williams. I don’t really care about 40 times at the de position. Williams is a massive ceiling prospect. Been an absolute dog on the best defense in college football since he stepped foot on campus. Ran a 4.74 at 265 lbs. has an arsenal of passrush moves. Him or Walker would be very good choices at 9. But to come out and say there aren’t many great prospect that can be there at 9 just makes you an idiot.

Fair enough. I wouldnt, he doesnt have the stats/production you would want either and now athletic testings are below par.
I’d take Jeanty. Not sure about Tet, if he runs a fast forty hell yeah. If he pulls a keenan allen and runs a 4.7 maybe not.

You sure? His stats arent there. That is a current knock on his draft prospects.
Shemar Stewart too - he tested out this world. College production lacking, why etc.
These things make players drop in stock.

Naw. Its just fact that the DE’s we might have wanted are dropping in value.

Smoke and BS gets thicker everyday till draft now.
Posted on 3/14/25 at 9:48 am to P bean
Stats? He played on a very bad ankle all year and had 6.5 sacks and could barely play most the time.
Posted on 3/14/25 at 9:50 am to P bean
Btw, Walker didn’t do the combine or the pro day. He isn’t working out for anyone till the week before the draft because of the quad injury. Not sure how he didn’t test well when he didn’t even test

Could it be that they haven't asked because they still have yet to work together? Anything he says will be lip service since until they start going through the playbook and working on film together.

Seems pretty clear to me.
Which is why I think the Saints/KM may target a QB they want.
Folks on here dont like Shedeur, but he is talented.
Also they hate Milroe. I’d take him in KM’s offense. Milroe was posting 22/23 mph on runs in college. Thats unreal. Tyreke Hill speed.
Carr was open to a trade or release. The saints thought different so he will be here this yr. Not hard to understand.

Cambell and the Missouri Tackle may also be picked.
Would the Mizz tackle be a post combine bump to have him potentially in the top 10? Most of the mocks I had seen had him in the late teens with Campbell & Banks (Texas OT) being top 10 considerations. Is Banks potentially slipping out of the top 10 due to his combine performance, or the Mizz kid moving up?

Membou blew up the combine. I think he’s gonna be the first olineman taken in the draft at this point. He’s massive and insanely athletic.

Any who is to blame for that terrible contract that keeps pushing money further and further back?

don't think its that they particularly want him here but the fact that no one will trade for him with that contract
I am not sure that's true. It might only be a 5th round pick that we get back, but he's not that bad of a contract either.

Because of how his contract is worked, it could be worth a higher pick to some teams. It would basically be a 1 year deal for $1,255,000 since there would be no dead cap for the team to cut him after the 2025 season.
None of that $50M in 2026 is guaranteed. Have a team draft a rookie QB and need a vet for1 year to bridge the team until the rookie is ready. Of course, Carr would have to waive the no trade clause knowing that would be his fate.
