That's a stretch. The entire Manning argument usually centers on him being his own offense. Calling his own game elevates him above most in the discussion of technical mastery of the game (rather than results of a team sport).

Peyton Manning is the GOAT in terms of mastering the QB position, just not results

I think troll, he is referring to the asinine statement you made that Brady "[was]good enough to never have been let go like brees was with the Chargers."

That's either incredibly stupid on your part (since Brees had a potentially career threatening shoulder injury when he was "let go") or a typically idiotic troll comment. Either way it helps maintain you as one of the worst posters on this site.

Your comment of saying that Brees is worse than Brady because San Diego let him go is definitely trolling and totally ignores context. It's shallow, stupid reasoning meant to bait people into an argument, and I don't think you're stupid enough not to realize this. There are legitimate points that you could make. You are deliberately not making them and going with the most grating and annoying tact that you can. Why would you do this? Because you are an a-hole.

Brees is my favorite qb, but if you don’t think he’s the greatest ever, you’re a troll...got it

Brees was going to be let go injury or no injury

They just spent a #1 pick on a QB...if brees was all World, they wouldn’t have done that. He owes much of his success to Sean Payton and vice versa whereas other top guys weren’t reliant on people other than themselves

They also went 11-5 when Brady missed a year

I take you’re not a Brees supporter? Great systems make can make good QBs look great as well. Also, Manning was allowed to bring his Colts offense into the Broncos system, the team comformed to Manning more than he comformed to them.

Yeah, even Nick Saban with the Dolphins was skeptical he could recover. Brees basically gave us great Pro football, but possibly contributed to the Alabama resurgence.

It's remarkable what Brees has done to overcome that and be as consistent as he has been.. I would say more, but I don't want to jinx it. Since he joined the Saints in 06 and until Bounty gate penatlies around 2012.. no other QB in the entire NFL had more wins than Drew Brees. Not even Brady and the Pats..

Just how many QBs could have come to this 2 win Saints franchise (I think it was 2 wins prior?) and immediately take them to the NFC championship game in the very first season..

He's better than top 15. I think it's a bit of a troll or insult to consider him that low.

He's certainly top 10.. especially as he continues to rack up all-time stats. It's incredible how consistent he has been.

Every "great" QB is in a great "system". I hate when people bring up that system BS.

Yes he's trolling, just ignore him.

He already is, my personal top 6 has him like 4-5 at this point

Bart Starr should be higher, I know his team ran a smash mouth offense but he called the plays for that offense and was incredibly efficient throwing the football when he dropped back, retired with the greatest completion pct in league history and his postseason record I'd happily argue against anybody's all-time

For today's context? Considering almost all QBs back in the 50s/60s called their own plays then?

Top 10. Would distance him over Rodgers as the third best of this era behind Brady and Peyton.

If he gets another ring you can't argue that Manning is cut and dry better. If anything they'd then be on a level playing field. Especially since Brees likely breaks his records.

Listen I don't want to say anything bad about Brees here, but Peyton took his team to the playoffs 10 years in a row.

Brees is already one of the greatest football players to ever play pro football.
