I think the underthrown pass had more to do with Brees misjudging how fast Ginn got down there than him not being able to throw it any further. The throw really wasn’t that far - I mean, he can still throw it over 40 yards.

First play of the game after being off 3 weeks. I hope it was more of a timing issue. I know he underthrew another deep ball and I know his arm is weaker than it was, but I wouldn’t read too much into it.

I can't lie. It's a bit concerning. Hill completely BURNED his man and Drew couldn't get it to him.

I doubt that it's a coincidence that you see that Saints throwing short much more often.

ETA: That said, I have confidence in Drew and CSP to correct it as best as they can.

He still makes that throw 9/10 times.

Shouldve been a TD

That's all Brees has standing in the pocket.

Agreed. Brees missed him, but you can't convince me that arm strength is the reason. He overthrew MT deep a drive or two later. I know this will blow people's minds, but QB's can simply miss a pass without it being an indictment on their physical well being.

I said the same to my wife. Ginn was probably amped up to high hell to be back out there and had a little extra giddyup in his step.

No interception is a good thing, but it was unforced and with plenty of time to make it up.

Hill threw the best deep ball all night.

It was Drew's first live game pass in 20 days too.

It was basically a punt.

A punt that should have been a TD.

Not one mention of this when the talking heads were discussing the game. If Drew just delivers it a few feet to the left or deeper we’re in scoring position

He underthrew anything beyond 25 yards all game. It was t a one time thing. I thing he is misjudging, but its his arm strength more than the distance he needs to toss it

He throws that ball 1 second earlier and it's a td. Not worried about Breesy.

Ginn did a great job of not finding the ball or making any attempt on it

He definitely did not see the ball otherwise he could have made a play either way.

Ginn made zero effort to come back to it. It wasn't an accurate pass, but he didn't help Drew out at all.

Early and often.

Drew was, what, 3-8 with a pick throwing to ginn? Almost another pick on that out route in the first
