Breaux set to return to practice this week, hopeful to play week 9

I am glad that he is coming back but we actually have some pretty good corners now. Hopefully he can get back to playing at a CB1 level as he has in the past. I feel like our defense is right on the cusp of being considered elite. Two shut down corners will do that. Not to mention 2 other corners also playing way over their heads.

Slight correction on your title: he cannot return until AFTER week 8, so week 9/game 8.

Anzalone just had surgery. He's done for the year.
Strief is eligible to return week 14 if he's ready.

All this makes me grateful we didn't trade Cooks for Butler like so many wanted to. We would have been very screwed without the Ram this season, and we would probably passed on Latimore, who looks like an all-pro in the making so far.
Do we think the Saints miss Cooks more than we neede Ryan Ram this year?

Honestly I think Strief is more important currently as we have better depth at LB, but that can change as things go.
Strief and Anzalone both went on IR the same week, correct?

Yep. Technically, Anzalone can come back in week 14 as well if he's healthy enough to do so.
