Why? Did Cooks get more balls thrown to him?

Cooks has been damn solid for a #20 pick....anyone who disagrees struggles with life and basic life functions.

...he was fire this year. Hasn't played two full seasons. He's the right type of player. Works hard. Wants it. Payton knew it. 1500 yards next season, 10 TDs.

We will laugh at these threads in the future, and Cooks will be there with Martin, Horn, and Colston as the greatest Saints receivers of all time.

I've never seen a player with his stats(and being a 2nd year player) get thoroughly criticised so much.

Landry - 278 targets
Cooks- 198 targets

When QB play is brought up, let us remember Josh Gordon going for 1600 yards and deandre Hopkins for 1500 with an assortment of shite throwing to them

He's really good at the one thing Landry is good at(short/intermediate)

Falling down/ running straight to the sidelines doesn't show me much "want".

84 receptions, 1138 yards, 13.5 AVG, 9 TDs, 0FumL, 378 YAC, 45 1st downs; 53.6% of his receptions went for 1st downs, 33.2% of his yards are YAC, AVG air yards 9.05

110 receptions, 1157 yards, 10.5 AVG, 4 TDs, 0FumL, 537 YAC, 60 1st downs; 54.5% of his receptions went for 1st downs, 46.4% of his yards are YAC, AVG air yards 5.64

Know what that means? It is the same damn things people complain about Brady-Welker dink and dunk possession receiver.

2011: 122 receptions, 1569 yards, 12.9 AVG, 9 TDs, 732 YAC, 77 1st downs; 63.1% went for 1st downs, 46.7% are YAC, AVG air yards 6.89

2012: 118 receptions, 1354 yards, 11.5 AVG, 6 TDs, 702 YAC, 72 1st downs; 61.0% went for 1st downs, 51.8% are YAC, AVG air yards 5.53

Drew Brees/Ryan Tannehill.

Tannehill's struggles with the deep ball are well documented.

I'm a huge pro-Cooks guy on this board, but Jarvis is better, by a decent margin IMO.

Do you really need to ask why?

Brees is much, much better than Tannehill. Not sure why that had to be pointed out to you.

You think Ben Watson magically became better than Jimmy Graham this season?

TANNEHILL throws to Landry and whats his name. BREES throws to 9 different receivers a game
Fair enough, but that can be spun any way you want.

The other side of that is that it's much easier for a D to key on stopping Landry, and that defenses would not be able to kep on stopping Cooks since Brees can spread it out more.
