One of the rules of passing is throw it beyond the sticks on 3rd down

Not sure if it is Payton or Brees coming up short.

Brees does not have the arm anymore. It was clear last year.

It’s Payton, cause Cook looked like the intended target at least on the second one, and coverage was good on the first.

A better rule is people who think you HAVE to throw to the sticks on 3rd down are people who out themselves on not being terribly knowledgeable on all things football.

And to think this is a rested healthy Drew Brees. Usually Brees is good through about week 12 before hitting the wall. Now he’s playing like it’s December in week 1.
