Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A think Allen should be fired and Jameis should be cut.

Didn’t watch the clip but it’s hard to argue otherwise.

Only way I could see this being ok is if Williams needed a TD to get some sort of contract incentive. Like $100k bonus for X number of TD's in the year and he needed one more to hit that.

Other than that, it's fricked up all around... players and coaches.

I’d go so far as to say if you’re dumb enough to admit in the presser that you can’t control your players, it’s time for you to go. You take the hit publicly and deal with it privately. You never air the organization’s dirty laundry in public.

He has only lost the team if the players involved are not held accountable. The roster needs to be cleaned out of all these players that think they are prima donas. Could possibly be a way to void contracts based on the players responses to the incident.

A team cannot function if a few players decide they can circumvent the organization based on what they players decide on their own. Time for a Jimmy Johnson lesson of who has the power and who writes the checks.

Winston isn't dumb. He knows exactly what he was doing when he made that decision on the field. I think the team as a whole is trying to get the front office to fire Dennis Allen. Showing that he has no control of the team is once sure way to get that done.

I think Winston deserves praise for his actions because with out them, I believe Dennis Allen will definitely be coaching this team again in 2024. Winston is forcing the front office to act even if it means sacrificing his job.

Everybody knows when are winning shite with Dennis Allen and the current staff.

I don’t agree with employees manipulating numbers so that incentives are completely self serving.

Not only that but Jameis is taking any and all heat for it when it was clearly not just Jameis that wanted a TD there. Why isn't Ed Daniels crying at Jammal Williams locker when he clearly was in on it too?

This is 100% the correct take.

He proved he lost the team.

They asked him if they could do it. He said no. Specifically do not do it. And then they went and did it anyway.

He’s a cuck. Apologizing in the media, he’s made this so much worse.

I love Jameis too, the guy has an IQ below room temperature. He’s apologizing in the lockeroom media session but realistically making it way worse. “I apologize to DA, but this was a TEAM DECISION” implying that DA isn’t a part of the team . He’s speaking like DA is the subordinate. “DA didn’t condone that at all, however we decided as a team to do it.” “We had the opportunity and we decided”. “My intention was to lead the team... and we made a collective decision and ima feel good about that” “it’s not about regrets... it’s about us as a team making a collective decision, but I do apologize to Dennis..because that was not his call” he doesn’t even call him coach, he calls him Dennis.

These are actual quotes

I’m a fan of the TD, frick the falcons, and I hate Dennis Allen.

But this completely cuts the coach down at the knees. He can’t come back.

There’s no respect

Carr would have kneeled the ball because he’s not a pussy. Part of this teams problem is lack of discipline and the reason why they can’t win games and finish games because they don’t have discipline. They need a head coach who has the balls to make his team accountable for their actions. I’ll be honest I don’t see how Dennis Allen can recover from this.
This is why I wasn’t a fan of trying to continue with the core that was left after Brees. Allen should’ve made stipulation that Loomis blow it up and allow him to start from scratch with his own players and leaders.

He would be the first coach to ever beg his GM to make his team suck.

All I know for sure is that the ball would have been kneeled if Payton was still the HC. Either that or Winston and Williams would have been cut before the after game press conference. Payton was respected/feared by the players. He didn't frick around with players who were rogues. E.g. Mike Bell, Brandin Cooks, or CGJ.

He had some assets he could’ve used to get some players.

That being said, the organization also needs to deal w/ Winston. You can’t have mutinous players, regardless of whether the coach is a cuck or not

So the organization needs to deal with the 11 players that were on the field for that play?

All of them went along and agreed to do it.
