Baltimore and Philly are really good teams that base their offense on a running qb

Lamar and Hurts are better passers than Taysom.

Maybe so, but our other qbs aren't good. Taysom is the only one of our group that has an above avg ability even if it is his running ability. The nfl is making a move to dual threats, so why not? Fields can't pass, and yet, the bears have scored 29 or better 4 straight weeks bc he can run

They also have much more agility and escapability from the pocket than Taysom, who is much more of a downhill type of runner than lateral movement

Well even if it isn't taysom, I'd be looking for a dual threat guy in the draft. 3 of the top 4 scoring offenses in the nfl have qbs in the top 45 rushers. If Mahomes wanted to run, it would be 4/4 bc he's very mobile.

ETA... the #5 scoring offense is the Seahawks, and geno has run for 218 (4.8 per).

1. Chiefs
2. Eagles
3. Bills
4. Ravens
5. Seahawks

Offensive coaches lack creativity. Same boring shite every game. Even if we had Hurts/Jackson they'd not be used properly.

I know Lamar didn't have all his guys going against us 2 weeks ago, but I wasn't super impressed with his passing ability.

I mean he didn't need to be great because we suck right now

No glasses are on. They both are average passers. You people also dont understand how bad the Saints offensive scheme is. Hurts has easy throws to extremely explosive receivers. Taysom was throwing to guys who created 0 separation in a bad offensive scheme.

Saints should honestly just suck up the rest of the season and run an offense similar to what New England did with Cam Newton in 2020. Lots of QB power, read option, mesh concepts. The season is over. Done. It was over in August if you paid attention that's why I get such a kick out of these homers and their "We CaN MaKe ThE PlAyOfFs" posts.

That's true. Hurts is completing 68% of his passes to a group that includes AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert. That's about what Taysom completed last year to guys like Callaway, TreQuan, and Humphrey. And Lamar has a career 63.8 completion percentage.

We don’t need a running QB, we’ve got Andy Dalton…
