It wouldn't. But, unless you land Watson which has a different set of risks, getting Baker is better than I expected.
You have to go after a retread QB with upside AND draft a young QB with upside and hope you get lucky.

I consider Winston and Baker to be even. Jameis has better measurables, but neither has really done much in the NFL.

I'd rather Winston, but if Winston is so good for us why are we wanting Watson? Winston has been here 2 years. That leaves alot of doubt if we're looking to replace him.

One has had an opportunity at a 2nd chance in a good situation.
The other hasn't.
Winston was ok and I had hope with Payton eventually he would come around. But, without Payton, I pass on Jameis.
Baker hasn't been good. But, the unknown of how he may improve in a different situation is worth more than the known mediocrity of James, IMO.
You have to get lucky to land a franchise QB out of a pool of failed QBs and all but the top QBs in the draft.
