its called msnbc, cnbc, or whatever other fricking network they own

running the game against the president on every channel would be even bigger ratings for NBC

They're both retarded, but I hope they do push it back to thursday and then NBC says screw you we're keeping the game.

Smart but also a dick move initially planning it at the same time as the debate.

Smart but also a dick move suggesting to time it with the football game.

not that obama is going to get re-elected anyway, but if he wants any chance, he'll make sure this does not happen

wants all of this to go down on Thursday so less people watch Obama's speech.

Didn't think that was possible. I don't know anyone who tunes in to hear his BS anymore. And that includes people who voted for him.

yes - sorry - not Obama - the nimrod wanting him to push it till Thursday.

Obama decided this week to have a nationally televised speech (that means nothing) the same exact night and time as a televised gop debate that's been on the schedule for months.

If he understands the repercussions of having a speech that would black out the first game of the NFL season he definitely won't do it. He might even get impeached if he pulled that stunt.

The problem is on obama. he can give this vapid screed anytime. it's not going to make a difference. he purposely scheduled his speech at the exact same time the gop had a debate in order to reduce its viewership. obama could give this blameshifting speech on tuesday, on friday, or next week. there is nothing he will say that is of any substance.

what's wrong with having both the speech and the debate on wednesday? They can compete with each other for putrid ratings.
Boehner is an idiot for refusing. He's not part o the debate. Only a candidate who is part of the debate and who is in congress has a right to object. So far no objection from ron paul.
