As Saints fans we need to pray the Chargers tank and get their coach fired

So Sean can go to his top choice team and we get their 1st round pick in return for him along with hopefully another 2nd or 3rd rounder.

he will most likely, unless he really loves being an announcer on TV, he will get a job in 2024 or 2025
that said, if you think we are getting a great deal for him you should prepare for disappointment
i expect them to get a deal like the Ceedy trade, where we get raped, and we barely get much of anything at all, under the threat that payton is happy to stay as an announcer on TV if they dont agree to the deal
the biggest irony of all is, while we are trading payton in 2024, we will simultaneously be searching for Dennis Allen's replacement here in new orleans at the same time

If he wants to coach next year any team will gladly give up a 1st for him. That’s a no brainer. Not many coaches with his mind.

well thats it in a nutshell
he said he is taking time off from coaching to clear his head, i take him at his word on that.
but anything can happen if they backup the truckload of cash to his doorstep, i just dont think it happens next year and he waits for the perfect situation for him
personally, i think he already knows where he will go and has done the legwork to get all the details in order
i agree with others that it has to be a club ready to go with a very good QB so there is nothing to fix or rebuild

the crazy talk im referring to is the ones who think we are going to get a couple of 1sts plus other draft picks
a single 1st is in line with all i think we get for him, maybe throw in a player of need for us and there will be a bucket of cash mixed in there as well
the chargers do seem like the perfect fit for him
when is the contract run out on the chargers HC? he may be waiting on that

We aren’t going to get 2 first rounders. The best we can hope for is a 1 and a 2nd or 3rd but you are right. He’s going to raid our team. Ireland, Khai Harley and Ryan Nielsen will be his first calls and possibly Carmichael just so he can have someone to call “OC” that won’t care if he really isn’t. Beyond that I can see him taking DA to be his defensive coordinator if we were to fire him but that’s unlikely after one year. He will make Ireland president of football operations and Harley GM right under Ireland.

Don't be surprised if he goes for bare minimum. Loomis the type of dumbass to do Payton a solid and let him go for a 2nd round pick.
