If these games have taught me anything, we need to get us our white receiver. Decker, Cooper, Nelson, etc. Loomis needs to make it happen

The Saints would be retarded to avoid WR until 4th or later. Outside of Graham, Drew has no real consistent playmaker to throw to. Stills may end up being the guy but that's not a sure thing.

Retarded? What makes you think they need to add a receiver in the early rounds?

I completely agree that we need to add another receiver, but it's not gonna happen early in the draft, sorry.

when should it happen?

I tend to agree with him. Our WRs cannot separate anymore. WE need a WR in the 1st three rounds

Lance Moore and Robert Meachem make a catch and it reminds me they are even on the team still.

Brees, countless times this year, has had all day to throw, but no one to throw to. That has never been a problem.

Stills is a nice start, but I think we need another big WR desperately. I wouldnt actually be shocked if we drafted 2 WRs this year

I agree. Our corp is getting old and slow. No doubt about it.

I just think we can rebuild it like last time without doing it in the early rounds. I wouldn't be upset if they did draft a top WR, but last time Payton did that with Meach he became nothing more than deep threat.

My opinion is strictly based off of what I've seen our front office do in the past.

We've been able to leave WR alone though because the guys we had were producing. They are just getting older. You have to address need, imo

If we pay JG big money we need to use draft to put surrounding talent around them

Agreed.

But we started already with Stills and Toon, both in the later rounds. Payton was way ahead of us. Although I don't think toon is worth a shite.

I would love Landry in the 2nd round though.

Same here. A smaller route runner type and a bigger more raw athletic guy.

I'm with Lester on this one. Need a stud WR and a ball hawk type CB. Unless BPA trumps those two positions they have to be addressed in the first two rounds.

Would be nice if Toon could be that guy but..... eh, I don't see it yet.

I think physically, he can be that guy. He's just been too inconsistent with drops in limited opportunities and injuries so far.

You mean, with our late 3rd round pick. He doesn't have first rounder physical talent. Any combo of Landry, Matthews and Moncrieff (Ole Miss) could be there late 3rd. Real value with all three.

Didn't see your post until after I posted. I basically repeated what you said.

One thing I do know is that White is a very solid nickel corner and good on stopping the short stuff but a true corner has to be able to play the deep ball and he has zero skill at doing that.

The biggest thing that bothers me about White is that he seems to always be up to something dumb after plays that might get him a flag. I really don't like players like that.

I think Toon is in a bad spot. He's basically playing behind Moore and Colston. He is that type of wr, so he isn't getting the reps. Stills got on the field and got reps because they badly needed what he gives them. Remember, Stills has also had his problems with drops.
