Just curious if the switch to SeatGeek has been completed and if folks can log into their accounts again.

The transition hasn't fully taken place yet. It goes into place tomorrow (6/5). See the latest email I got re: this exact thing:

quote:

As previously announced, we’re transitioning to SeatGeek as the new Official Primary Ticketing Partner of the New Orleans Saints in order to more effectively and efficiently serve you. To ensure you are able to access and manage your tickets, pay invoices and receive your exclusive benefits, you will need to set up a New Orleans Saints – SeatGeek Account Manager. This will replace the Ticketmaster Account Manager you have used in the past. As soon as you set up your account manager you will be able to send your tickets to friends and family, as well as sell them on the NFL Ticket Exchange. This process will kick-off Tuesday June 5. You will receive an email directly from SeatGeek outlining the steps required to set up your account. Please be on the lookout for this email and, if necessary, add hi@seatgeek.com to your list of accepted emails. As always, should you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Saints service team at 504.731.1700 or via email at CustomerService@saints.nfl.com.

That's what I needed to know. My account was set up with an email address that has since been deleted by Yahoo for lack of use. The ticket office told me I could call and update my email address once the transition was complete.

Thanks for the info!!

It's live. You should have gotten an email about it in order to setup your new account.

Will there be Paper tickets mailed this year?

Seems like they are all about the digital tickets on your phone, or print at home.

I didn’t get an email from SeatGeek today.

I’ll call the Saints office later this week.

Tried to set up the new 'seatgeek' acct. today....total cluster&^$# ! The site is convoluted and non intuitive....even entering a password is difficult because the site does NOT inform the user of it's 8 digit REQUIREMENT....you only find that out by calling their 800# and wait thru the 10 min. hold. The site is incapable of showing the Superdome seat inventory via ANY category...I was told to go BACK to nflticket-exchange, view and note the locations/pricing...then jump back over to seatgeek and try to list/purchase ! You will also be required to enter all your financial information AGAIN and really have to search for the appropriate sections of the site, to do so ! The NFL/Saints have screwed the pooch on this one....sold out to an inferior ticket-seller, for a lesser and far more unnecessarily complicated product ! Would love to know WHO approved this boon doggle !

I didn't have any of those issues. I'm actually excited about SeatGeek. It's a great platform for at least buying and selling tickets along with using your mobile phone as your ticket. As far as managing season tickets, we shall see...

IF, I'm buying OR selling tickets I want to see ALL the inventory/pricing/sections on ONE site...NOT have to go back and forth....that's just a dumb/lazy/cheap site design ! God only knows the flaming hoops you have to jump thru to enter all the financial information required !

Absolutely.

Does anyone know if this is their first deal with major sports franchises? If so, it's only going to improve. They're easily my favorite secondary market ticketing site.

I just wish they had the "market value" option that Ticketmaster had that would adjust tickets prices(for games I can't go to) automatically for those that you're trying to sell.

It's really not that big of a deal. And the only "hoops" were to reenter banking information on SeatGeek if you didn't previously have it entered with them (I did, so no extra step for me).

Considering Ticketmaster runs the NFL Ticket Exchange, I'm just glad SeatGeek puts them on there for you.

On that note, does anyone know if putting the tickets on the Ticket Exchange through SeatGeek also puts them on SeatGeek?

So, you're just fine with "accepting' their 'suggested' price without the on site option of viewing/verifying tickets currently listed ? How is that OK ?

1. I really don't sell tickets. The only ones I do are the ones I legitimately can't make (missed one game last year so I could visit family for Christmas) or the preseason.

2. It literally takes like 4 clicks of a button to see the inventory currently on NFL Ticket Exchange. It's not a big of a deal, and certainly not one worth crying over.

3. The tickets that I'll be giving up, I'm not looking to make profit on. I'd prefer to make sure they're going to Saints fans who will make noise for the good guys.

But you do you.

Different strokes I guess....why do you feel seatgeek is better than the tried/proven nflticketexchange ? Do you enjoy/feel comfortable, re-entering your financial info. to multiple sites ? I'd say it's more than a little annoying as well as just a tad risky...see recent Target/facebook et al fiascoes ! Good for you if you enjoy living in the 'fast-lane' of 'secure' websites...lol

I guess you're not sure how this is working. The Ticket Exchange is ran by Ticketmaster. The Saints now partner with SeatGeek, but SeatGeek posts the tickets to the NFL Ticket Exchange when you go through their "sell" option. Plus, it's not like SeatGeek is an unproven organization.

You probably do this already anyways.

Again, I didn't have to reenter my banking information as I have an account on SeatGeek (they're significantly better than StubHub).

Lol okay.

You're making a stink out of very little.

So, now Saints season ticket holders are REQUIRED to use seat-geek and I posted the 3 games I'm NOT attending and only later discover there is yet ANOTHER step required, to simultaneously post tickets on BOTH sites ! wth ?
Now, ticket master has 'upgraded' it's site and the "upgrade" REMOVED the window which formerly displayed all tickets/pricing w/in single or multiple sections ! Is this ticketmaster pushing back against the NFL ?

OK. Help me out here. Is there any option in this new system to just put any money you make off sold tickets into your ticket account for the playoffs or the next year like they have on the ticketmaster exchange like in the past?
