I get along but all that "you're flaming crap" has gotten real old for me. Anytime someone takes the fan glasses off to give their own opinion, their panties get bunched up and they resort to flame throwing.

Outside of that, I'm happy to have disagreements on subjects.

Dude, you intentionally give "opinions" in order to piss people off. That's flaming. you don't like the term? oh, I'm sorry we aren't accomodating your fragile ego's needs. We'll definitely stop now.

You're like that kid in grammar school that tells everyone "stop calling me stupid; i'm not stupid"

How can you say that you call it how you see it? That's crazy talk. Colston in 3 years in New Orleans has 3,000 yards receiving and 24 tds. A 14 yd per catch average and has fumbled the ball twice in the regular season and lost it only once in that time. He also missed almost 10 games last year because he tore a tendon in his thumb (you know coach, the thing on his hand that he uses to catch the ball).

This all from a 6th round draft choice that everyone in the league passed on. He obviously isn't mentioned in the same breath as Larry Fitzgerald or some of the other elite receivers, but frick man, what do you want?

But let's look at the last 3 years of 2 of the "elite" receivers, since that is all that we can compare.

Larry Fitzgerald (1st round draft pick)
3,786 yds/14.5ypc/28tds -- 4 fumbles/3 lost

Andre Johnson (1st round draft pick)
3573 yards/13 ypc/21 tds -- 3 fumbles/2 lost

If that is how you see it, then I hope you aren't a receivers coach.

Good player, not tremendous. Very good for our offense. I just hope all the drops at the end of the year were b/c of the thumb. I think they were, I'm just hoping it doesn't become a problem. Man, he dropped some big passes down the stretch....several third downs and a couple of tds including one on 2 and 20 that Brees put in there perfectly against Atlanta (still scored later, but you usually don't get those back).

Bottom line, I like him but I understand the questioning after the way the season ended for him.

It can appear that way when viewing from the broke back band wagon.

Joe, whoever

-if ya dunno you are throwing out crap that 90%+ of posters disagree with then you are ignorant

-if ya throw it out and offer no rebuttal to the counters it is either just shite stirring for the fun of it or backboneless or both

It's your opinion and i can respect it and discuss differing points of view

That's my problem you haven't discussed it. You obviously have time to continue commenting about yourself, the thread and posters. All that but nothing more than "that's the way I see it"

I can hack any opinion, but the more controversial it is the more you should be prepared to defend it.
-------------------------
Drew Brees is way over rated. End of discussion. I just see it that way. I don't have time to discuss it. Just wanted to throw that shite out there for you. You're a bad boy if you tell me I'm stupid for saying that too.
Waaaa

I will say these things:

Colston has played under one of the more prolific passing offenses in NFL history under his 3 years.

Colston appears to have a confidence issue he may have to overcome because he really did have some bad games coming back from his thumb injury. I have confidence he can, but he does need to rebound a bit.

Colston also plays for the same QB who has made Lance Moore appear good.

Either way you cut it, whether Colston has been a product of a system or not, he's shown us he can play at a very high level in this league. I don't think he's as good as anyone in the league but in an offense that spreads the ball around a lot, Colston is a team player and an ideal fit.

He did start to rebound but that needs to continue to this new season. I would have to watch those games again to see if he dropped any balls in those games though but yes...

He started to become the old colston again. Looking at the season as a whole, his season was pretty bad getting hurt early and having trouble coming back from the injury.
