Milroe is not accurate, has zero touch on his short passes and can’t read a defense. Hurts had all 3 at Bama and Oklahoma.
They are not the same.

Milroe will be one of the best QBs coming out of this draft. He is def a Hurts and I def think Moore wants him.
It’s what the NFL is these days- you need a QB that can run and pick up 2-5 yds with his legs and not afraid to take a hit.
Look at Taysom. He gets hurt every year doing just that but if he didn’t get hurt and we had that all year we would be in contention.

Anyway, the things millroe sucks at are generally things you don’t suddenly develop at QB. We had these same arguments regarding Taysom being a full time QB years ago, great runner but terrible at basically every other aspect of playing the position. Resident retard chadboiiiiii swore he could be a great qb, just another L for that idiot

I really hope so. Only qb that really interests me.

Justin Fields is 6’2” 227 lb. 4.4 forty guy m. Has an inch and 10 lbs on Milroe. Led his conference in yards and passing TDs in back to back years and completed nearly 70% of his passes
He’s 14-30 and on his 3rd team in 5 years
Does anyone believe Milroe is a better prospect than fields?

If we’re having to draft him in the top 15 like fields to some of the dumbest fricking offensive teams in the NFL. No.
If you can take him later, have Moore work with him and not rush him, sure. He’s faster than fields and more solidly built as well.
At worst he’s 6’2 220+ lb guy running in the high 4.3s that you can create packages for. There is at least an athletic floor that you can fall back on if the full starter light never goes on.

No but I'm still a believer in Fields. Call me crazy but I think he can be a really good QB. I think Milroe is a project that, worse case scenario, can play in Taysom's role after he's gone.

Whether it’s 9 or 40, you can’t afford the luxury of seeing if a Milroe can be a QB
In the top 40? No thanks

Milroe's offensive skill players at Bama apparently threw him under the bus to scouts & some threatened to transfer had Milroe returned for the 2025 season.
quote:
In a recent report from Tom Pelissero, an AFC coordinator told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero that Alabama nearly lost all of its top offensive weapons if quarterback Jalen Milroe had returned for another year. We'd imagine that would include Ryan Williams.
That’s not speculation. That’s someone close to the NFL Draft process saying there was serious buzz behind the scenes that a full-scale offensive exodus was on the table.
“He’s a 22 mph-on-the-ground guy,” the coordinator told Pelissero. “He’s got a fastball that’s not very accurate. He doesn’t know when to take it off the ball. We heard out of Alabama all the skill [players] would’ve transferred if he came back. He wants to be known as a pocket quarterback and your best skill is you’re frickin’ fast.”

The lead up to this draft has caused people to lose their minds. Some of these takes are complete shite.

What makes it so crazy? You’re being dramatic

In no world is Jalen Milroe a better player than Justin Fields
