The problem i have is that EVERY segment i've seen on tv is about how the Saints wont be able to stop the Colts.
Brees and the Saints offense was better in every offensive category than the Colts. I've heard nothing about how they plan on stopping us

As a former line backer/ tight end (high school nothing big) I'm all for the bare knuckle ball!! frick what anyone says as long as were retiring the great hall of fame qb's, forcing turnovers, breaking records, and getting into the big game... Who cares keep it tough keep it hard and make him not want to play anymore... Who dat in the super bowl baby!

The Saints went from a "soft" and "finesse" team to a "dirty" and "cheap shot artist" team in 2 games.

If our D keeps operating the way has we won't get a rep for playing dirty. During the Cards game Warner was forcibly helped to the ground early on several times.
However, in the second half when the game was well in hand, there were a few times where Vilma and crew got hold of Warner, but didn't knock him down or anything. The announcers took note of that and complimented the Saints on their discretion and restraint.
Obviously, the Vikings game went down to the wire and beyond, so we couldn't afford to give Favre an inch of slack. But if it would've been a blowout like the week before, I'm sure Favre would've gotten off a lot easier. I think any rational observer would realize this.

quote:THIS...and GW has given us every reason to believe he is very good at disguising blitz packages and bringing the pain. It is easy to whine that it's dirty when you are on the receiving end...to me it is FOOTBALL! Bring the wood! Bring the PAIN! It worked on the last two future HOF QB's the Saints beat! It will work on this less tough version too!
Peyton is the best at making adjustments. I think it would be a good idea for us to mix coverages and defenses.
