only issue i have with your draft is ika. he doesn't fit our defense at all. would rather smith if we take a nt type. at least smith has some explosiveness and penetration ability. dexter or benton would work out better for our defense. obviously breese, but i doubt we get a crack at him.
robinson is definitely a take if he falls to 29. i like hooker, but i guess it depends on what's available at 71. hickman has the tools to develop into the single high safety role that allen likes. kirkland could be a better version of hurst.

Siaka Ika Combine review.
I don't know this review sould a lot like what the Saints need in DT. I like Smith also but he seems like just a big wall of man that will eat up blockers. Kind like Norman Hand I would imagine. If Smith's skill set better fits the Saints defense I would not be disappointed at all with him on Rd 1 or 2.

allen's defense plays from the outside in on the dline. big 5tech types at DE that are athletic enough to serve as 7 and 9 guys that can eat blockers and free up the DTs. also likes DTs who can eat blockers and free up DEs, but they also need to be able to penetrate. this is why we've always reached for certain types of DEs. it's what let's a team put consistent pressure without blitzing. couple that with a guy who can play single high safety (that don't have on the roster atm) and it makes for a very dominant defense.
