NOT THE SAINTS! Seattle for ‘27 3rd & ‘28 5th.
I know the salary cap and his contract is a big concern but Mickey gives out stupid contracts all the time and it seems like he has a magic eraser to just keep the team underneath the cap so he gets no pass for not trading for Nelson!

Another guard doesn’t fix our scheme and preparation

This. We either need a new O.L. coach or whole new approach or both. There is too much invested in our O.L. room for the results we're getting.

Nelson & Edwards play the same position. So you’d be asking one of them to switch to RG, I have no idea how big of an ask that is.
You would also be asking the team to trade future picks for a player that is a FA and didn’t want an extension with Indy because he didn’t want to be part of their rebuild. So it would be a 1 year rental when the team isn’t going anywhere

He wants to contend and while it's usually not a big deal, this late in their careers to learn a mirroring position is hard to adjust. The muscle memory is hard to overcome.

So Edwards is better than taking a chance with wright? Because we could just replace Edwards and have him as the six ol. Keep wright at rg.
Not that I think this trade would really fix anything. Just saying analytically.
