Unless they are from Chicago or ATL.
Make no mistake, I despise the Falcons with every fiber of my being. But has anybody actually had bad experiences with Atlanta fans at the Georgia Dome? I understand Chicago, but I honestly didn't encounter a single rude Falcons fan at when I went to the game after Christmas in Atl last year. Just a lot of fun good-natured ribbing.

I even gave my business card to one couple sitting next to me who told me they'd be travelling to NOLA for the game this year, they called me when they came to town and we took them to lunch.

My list in order:

49ers (Because of recent events)
Bears (Poor treatment of our fans in Chicago)
Falcons (Honestly their fans are pretty mild)
Eagles (One of the worst fans in football)
Everyone else is pretty much even..

Nothing wrong with being a good ambassador for your hometown. Plus, the dude was an ex-marine.

The patriots fans sucked pretty bad too in 2009, until we stomped the shite out of that team and they left

The worst visiting fans I've seen in the dome in a long time were the Steelers fans last year. They were horrible.

I'll give you a pass because I respect the military. Dont let me catch you being nice to falcons fans again.

^^^This^^^

The best visiting fans that I've seen where Green Bay fans. Went to a game in 2002, I believe it was the home opener. Those fans could tell the difference between good humor or someone just being an a-hole. The Steelers fans last year were just an uptight group who didn't know how to have a good time.

The only away game ive been to was in Pitt. They were actually really laid back. No one even got in my face after the game. In fact no one was talking, not even to each other. Just walking quietly back to their cars. It was wierd. I guess that's what 6 superbowls does to a fanbase.

This, I'm sure many of our fans are no better.

I completely disagree. My family and I have been season ticket holders for 31 years and I have never experienced some of the stuff written about the 49ers and Bears inside or outside the superdome.

good fun trash talking with no consequences is all I've ever seen or been a part of.

Thats cool, glad you had a good experience up there. The dudes I'm talking about just didn't realize they were getting a good natured ribbing and acted like assholes the whole game. There were plenty of Steeler fans there last year and I'm not saying that they all sucked but I guess the ones near us where the bad apples

I was at the game and had one of the best times I've ever had at a football game. The 49er fans around me didn't take it easy on me, but you have to know going in that you're just gonna have to take some verbal jabs with a smile and a high-five.

I definitely saw some douchebag fans traveling with the team. But in Pitt they were so quiet. It was so weird. Like quiet the whole game, quiet before the game, quiet after the game. Coming from the Dome and NOLA, it was just a really weird experience.

Really? I took my husband to this game, his frst ever NFL game. He's a Steelers fan. We were up in the club level. Was a good mix of fans, and the Steeler fans were just great.

On the concourse getting in and out, everyone we encountered, regardless if they were a Saints fan or a Steelers fan had a great time poking fun at us for having opposing jerserys on.

Atmosphere was wonderful.

I can also provide a firsthand accounting of the 49er fan behavior. We are fans of the New Orleans Saints. With great anticipation, my family and I flew into San Francisco this weekend to go to the game, visit friends and explore the city and wine country. Unfortunately, we encountered hostile behavior before, during and following the game. In the parking lots and in the stands we were repeatedly booed, called MF'ers, physically pushed around in the restrooms, confronted and told to 'be afraid, be very afraid'. Let me be clear that it was in NO way an isolated incident. While leaving the stadium we were told thanks for coming, now get the F out of here, which provided a good laugh for all the 49er fans within earshot. At no time did anyone wearing red come to our defense. Keep in mind that I had my wife and 10 year old son with me the whole time. Suffice it to say that we feared for our safety, especially as we exited the stadium. We were in no way paranoid or had our ears open for specific negative language. It was all around us and it was unavoidable. I would never in my life have subjected my family to this had I had any idea it would be this out of control. The despicable actions of your fan base have left a mark upon myself and my family that can never be reversed. I will never intentionally visit your city again, and highly discourage anyone else from considering a visit as well.
