I mean I am sure next year not one single offensive player will get hurt.

Also this was a Dennis Allen guy. So why keep anyone that has the D.A. stench on them?

ESPN is reporting that Aaron Glenn is the favorite to land the Saints vacant head coaching position. It’s looking like it’ll be Glenn.

Hiring a defensive minded coach today gets you no where in the NFL. You're the Texans at best

The NFL is changing. Three of the best teams in the NFL have defensive minded or special teams coaches: Bills, Ravens, Lions.

So all we need is a MVP calibre QB and/or stud OC

You can slice these contenders anyway you want but it always comes up offense

Glenn on Jamal St. Cyr X

This is why Glenn should be the next coach.

We all know why he singled out the Texans, a 10 win team btw, and their head coach.

Glenn and Ryans have a few things in common.

What are you basing this opinion on? Puff pieces singing his praises?

Separate interviews with Dan Campbell and Drew Brees. Both of them said the same thing about Glenn being a leader of men, and I value the opinions of both of those guys.

He’s also highly regarded around the league, not just by Brees and Campbell. He might not be a top 3 defensive mind in the league but he also hasn’t been a coordinator for that long and he’s shown promise.

But you’re not hiring him for that. You hire him because you believe he was just as important to the culture and turnaround of the Lions as Campbell was and hope to bring that mentality here. You hire him to be the next Tomlin/Harbaugh type. Culture builders, leaders.

Based on? His defenses have been below average every year he has been there. They did do better this year in scoring defense (although the offense is top 3 in time of possession).

I don't have a problem giving Glenn a chance
The only no no would be bringing Dennis Allen back in to coordinate the defense

Not my top 3 but hes a better hire than the Allen hire.

We have 0 proof of that. All we can do is hope. He hasn’t done anything yet as a head coach of any team. I don’t trust Loomis to do anything.

This tells us nothing but he is likable. That’s a good quality, but can he rebuild a crappy football team?
