A disturbing statistical trend since the bye week.

The last three games since the bye have some eye opening statistics that are alarming.
Saints opponents have been awarded 16 first downs by penalty.
The Saints have been awarded only 2 first downs by penalty.
The numbers over 3 games should approach something close to a 50/50 split.
Of the 18 first downs awarded, Saints opponents have 89% of the first downs awarded by penalty.
In contrast, the Saints have been awarded only 11% of the first downs by penalty.
This anomaly cannot be explained away by anything other than that this trend is an intentional effort to slow down the Saints defense and give opponents offense more chances to score by continuing drives.
Saints opponents in this three game stretch have committed 17 penalties for 128 yards.
In contrast, the Saints have committed 33 penalties for 289 yards.
The Saints have twice the amount of penalties and twice the amount of penalized yards.
Over three games, the numbers should be more balanced.
The Saints are fortunate to have won 2 of 3 games with these type of handicaps.

Putting my tin foil hat on id love to know how Paytons saints faired penalty wise over his tenure. I think its probably been middle of the pack at worst.

Alot of those penalties were bullshite. Today was such rigged bullshite it was not even disputable. Against Atlanta they called a bunch of hands to the face and holding that was severely suspect.

I don't believe after the bye, the Saints would suddenly become this undisciplined on defense.
Prior to the bye, the Saints defense has been recognized as one of the better NFL defenses.

The thing is even with this we're so good that we were actually able to win two of the three, shooting ourselves in the foot along the way.

This is surely a trend that cannot and will not continue. This is the first this has ever been a real problem for us that I can remember.
I mean some of them are warranted but it really is the only thing keeping us from absolutely destroying teams.

We are fortunate that Tampa turned the ball over 4 times.
In the Tampa game, the Bucs had 5 first downs by penalty to 0 for the Saints.

This shite is making me very nervous to play San Fran, and especially Green Bay in the playoffs because Green Bay gets more calls than just about any team in the league

You would need that bias to be in ALL of their minds. That's not going to happen without it being a point of emphasis from higher up in the hierarchy

Goodall hate s the Saints almost as much as he kisses the Pats arse.
He was the fixer for the NFL before being commissioner and he was the one that personally buried the concussion problems etc.
When bountygate hit he lied to Benson about the 300 pages of shite he had on the Saints so Benson got CSP to take year suspension, and we lost or DC. Then it all come out that was complete bullshite and Benson was super pissed and wanted his arse. Remember all the players Goodall tried to punish got their sentences greatly reduced or overturned because it was complete bulllshit to try to cover up all the bodies he buried on concussion issue. ( and they have a Union )
CSP hates his guts. Benson family wants him fired but could not move on him because of Kraft.
When Kraft got into trouble for being a Pedofile, info allegedly leaked to police by other NFL owners, jerry jones tried to move against him but Kraft skated on the Florida shite, as they didn’t dig enough, We were obviously with the Cowboys on the attempted coup. Did you see all the shitty calls against them today?
We are getting pay back from the prick commissioner. That is what this is about.

The numbers since bountygate and the officiating this year and the lack of enforcement of the new PI rule speaks volumes.
