The Saints haven’t played yet this week. If we’re going by this then anytime the Saints game ended before the Colts’ game in 2009 gave the Saints the best overall record.

We'd have fewer loses than any team for at least 24 hours. That's never happened

I thought in 2002, we were 6-2 and had the best record in football.

No. The Colts were 13-0 as well. We lost to Dallas, they beat Jacksonville to go 14-0.

I swear, everytime we have opportunities like this, we go and blow it. Hopefully, it won't happen this week. We take care of business and we can go into the playoffs with the best record and home field advantage. No let up!

Saints were 6-2 and were tied for the lead in the NFC South.

That season the Eagles, Bucs, 49ers,and Broncos all started 6-2.

The Saints made it to 7-2 with the Bucs, and 49ers.

However the best record in the league at that point in the season belonged to the Green Bay Packers at 8-1.
